the shape? not sure..
maybe as intensities of the tornados increase, they have an effect on the shape and size of the hail generated
the recent tornados in OK were bumped up from EF-3 to EF-4

I seriously doubt that a piece of hail that big could survive in one piece unless it landed either in soft mud or a body of water. Second, the shape is much too regular. It looks like a balloon to me, too.
