PORTLAND, Ore. - A mail carrier who was caught using a yard as his personal toilet will not be fired.
The incident happened last month at a home in southeast Portland and a neighbor, Don Derfler, captured the man in the act with his camera.
Derfler had been waiting for his babysitter when he saw his mailman acting odd at his neighbor's house across the street. The postal worker then pulled down his pants and that's when Derfler began snapping pictures.
"We trust people like the postal service and meter readers and people of that nature," Derfler told us when we interviewed him in April. "To come on to our property and to defecate - it's just wrong."
The incident was an embarrassment to the post office and the worker was immediately placed on unpaid leave. Now, a decision has been made to keep the worker but he will be transferred to a different route.

So I’d have to assume it’s OK to use the postal employee as a kicking bag.
Those of us with 30 years of martial arts training could make good use of such a scumbag.
I just hope I catch one of the aholes who lets his dog crap in my yard. I’ll either shove the crap in his face or use him as a kicking bag.
I am sure the guy would have preferred to use a toilet, but sometimes you just gotta go NOW.
US Poop Service.
One time I got stuck in traffic coming back frm LAX and couldn’t pull off the freeway cuz it was just like a parking lot. I did something I hadn’t done since 3rd grade. I have sympathy for the guy, actually. I’m pretty sure it was a special emergency
Many people are home during the day and many who are know their postman, if not by name than by sight. They would have certainly let him in. What he did warranted a significant disciplinary reaction, a demotion, loss of pay, and possibly termination. He showed no respect for his employer, his customer or himself.
Have you ever had colitis or chrons Jim, it gives you about 15 seconds to get clothing out of the way.
And they why they keep losing business.
Care to lick a stamp anyone?
But then the local Moonbat feedback:
THAT post was too crude for words??
Hey, I didn’t poop in a yard! Someone else’s yard, at any rate.... long story only half remembered... anyway, when I was a kid we went to the lake and I had to go, and I know its a lake, so who would notice, right? But No, I had to get out of the lake and go find bushes and EVERYONE noticed.
So embarrassing.
If the mailman was having medical problems I’m confident the Public Union would have provided proper relief.
Okay, all letter carriers should wear DEPENDS
Not if he didn’t disclose it. I know folks with this condition and it is not something shared.
The usual method is to carry plastic bags in the delivery vehicle then when stricken just hop in the back and poop in the sack.
This gentleman was on a park and loop route it would seem (where the houses are close together they'll park the vehicle and carry the mail on foot to the homes).
He was away from his vehicle AND that "public toilet" was in a park ~ he wouldn't know if it was locked or unlocked.
No doubt he wasn't able to make it to his vehicle.
Else he'd driven to a gas station or someplace with a public toilet.
I pray for all the critics to be stricken with Crone's Disease, Coilitis or best of all Wheat Gluten Intolerance ~ yeah, that's the one. You got 10 seconds warning time and all you did was eat lunch ~ oh, you missed the fact the deli guy sprayed your Italian sub salad with malt vinegar? Well, too bad eh!
LOL
Postal employees are NOT supposed to ask to come into someones house to use the restroom. If you are lucky, you have another postal service employee on your route and they tell you that if someone is home you can use their restroom.
You can use public restrooms in gas stations strip malls and the like. A carrier may be stuck on route that is not near a public restroom. He might take a bottle in the truck or van to pee, but better not let anyone see you if you do. Dump it in the next drain come to, don’t carry it around.
If you have diarhria on the route you have a problem.
I agree. I feel sorry for the guy,
