Her name is May, and she may well be the feel-good story of the month. May is an 18lb (8kg) toy poodle found in the grounds of a nursing home in Sechelt, British Columbia (BC).
While no one saw her arrive, deep talon marks in her back and sides strongly suggest she was the unwilling passenger of a hungry eagle for some time until being dropped from the sky, the Vancouver Sun reported Monday.
Found by staff at the nursing home, about 43 miles (70km) northwest of Vancouver, she was taken to the nearby Sunshine Coast SPCA, who are crediting the bird of prey with saving May's life.
I have that same video that somebody sent me in an e-mail. There's one brief frame of the guy holding the bird before it starts, and it sounds like they are speaking German.
Honestly, if there were birds like that around here, I'd be worried for toddlers. Did you notice that it completely rolls over with the deer - and hangs on!
I did indeed.One tough bird.
Probably a scam, sending you different clips of the same bird every year.
Oh ye of little faith....
I’ve heard of them grabbing lambs. Here’s a news story and pic about one:

Swooping assassin: Pictured for the first time in Britain, a soaring golden eagle clutches a bloodied lamb in its razor-sharp talons - confirming farmers’ worst fears for their flocks
Here’s a bird of prey, don’t know what kind, grabbing a mountain goat. There’s video of him actually flying off with one. Poor mountain goat:

It’s amazing how strong raptor’s talons are. You can find videos on You tube of Mongolian horsemen using eagles to actually hunt and kill wolves. If they can kill a wolf, they could kill a person. Of course they can’t take off with them, but they don’t have too much of a problem killing them. Just unbelievable power.
Freegards
I have seen that. Quite amazing. Have you seen the videos of the hunters in Mongolia(?) who use eagles to hunt and kill wolves?
I think I have seen those videos posted on FR. They are some mighty predators.
(the Hawk eagle starts making squawking sounds)
KRAMER: Ohhh. another interesting confrontation. This could be spicy. Yeah, George bring him over.
GEORGE: Uh.
FOWLER: No, you idiot! Hawks eat squirrels eagles eat poodles!
I wouldn’t doubt this story. We have a large 10LB Chihuahua and the two Redtail Hawks who live in our neighborhood target her all the time. They follow us when we walk her. I’m talking flying really low overhead and then landing on the street sign and staring at her all the way by. One day she was out on the deck and I went to call her in and there was a hawk sitting on the edge of the gutter sizing her up. Now she can only go out if the larger dog is with her.
Raptors are incredible predators. The Mongolians use Golden Eagles to hunt wolves. The Eagles kill the wolves. Check it out on Youtube.
OUCH
LMAO!!! You tell it, Diogenes from WA!
Nicely done.
