Norton did an update and now I have to login each time I want to post a comment. FR is my home page and I never have to login. Any recommendations about solving this problem?

I know, I know...don't use the hog Norton. But, we have 400+ days of coverage left. Also in the update Norton has placed on the top: Norton_______________Search, OK Safe Web, and Identity Safe. I don't remember them being there before....maybe they were.

Thanks.

It may have changed your browser settings to clear authenticated sessions every time you close your browser. What type of browser are you using?

I’m using Symantec Endpoint, which the the corporate version of Norton—and I must say seems to work better. But I haven’t seen that problem.

It must be doing something to your FreeRepublic cookie, I should think. Has it reset itself to delete cookies or something?

I updated Norton two days ago. No problems here or anywhere.

It did the same to me.
Your login screen now has your name and password hidden in a pulldown box. Just click on the box where you put your name and it will appear, along with your pasword in dots........

Sounds like it changed your cookies settings. Cookies allow a website to remember you each time you log in.
