Now that his transformation from female to male is complete, Chaz Bono wants to focus on his future with his longtime partner, Jennifer Elia. Bono, son of pop icon Cher and the late Sonny Bono, revealed on Thursday's "Piers Morgan Tonight" that he and Elia would like to wed "within a year."
"We've been engaged actually for two years," he said, but explained they "kind of had to put things on hold a little bit" as he underwent his gender transition. The couple, who will celebrate their sixth anniversary in August, are legally free to marry because Chaz is now considered a man by law.
"I think that we probably will," Bono told Morgan, with Elia sitting by his side. "And hopefully people will understand that, you know, that's something we want to do." The pair agreed that they would like his stepmother, congresswoman Mary Bono Mack, Sonny Bono's widow, to preside over their nuptials.

I watched the documentary on Chaz’s transition. With all the testosterone, Chaz is acting like a man and her lesbian partner got a little miffed by it. It’s not a man thing as much as it is the drugs have changed Chaz’s personality a bit and her partner misses the old Chastity, who had feminine sensibilities and behaviors.
It was an interesting show. I believe that most of these people have true chemical/endocrine/brain/whatever issues that make them see themselves as the ‘wrong’ gender. I think most people would never submit to the body mutilation that transgenders do unless they really believed they were different. I give them a pass; life is hard enough and they’ve made it harder. I don’t need to add to it.
I will say I never understood why Chaz kept on the weight. You’d think that in the process of getting all this surgery, you’d go on a diet as well. : )

There have been a few articles about this pure disgusting insanity. A mentally ill woman who becomes a sexual pervert and mutilates her body can now legally claim she is a "man" and can legally "marry" a mentally ill sex pervert who thinks the she is the "wife" of the mentally ill woman. And everyone else in society is supposed to go along with the charade - and will be forced legally to do so. “Chaz” still has a vagina, and she will probably keep it. What a completely insane society we live in when someone with a vagina can still be “legally” called a “man.”

Please, someone tell me why two homosexual men can’t now use this as a loophole to get married in California. If surgical “modification” is now now required in order to be considered to “change sex,” why can’t one of the homosexual men just be deems a “woman” and then allowed to get married?
It is insane. There is no such thing as “sex change.” You have just a mutilated woman who perhaps suffered because she could not measure up to mom in looks.

I was in the doctor’s office the other day and saw an interview with HER about the whole thing.

And all the TV show hosts were ooohh’ing and aaahhhh’ing over the whole debacle. It was disgusting.
I have to give Chaz one thing though, she did say she wouldn’t use the ladies room out of courtesy of the other women’s reaction to seeing a *man* in the bathroom.
