Puritan Bakery has supplied buns for In-N-Out Burger since the late 1950s.
Yes, according to the book I am reading, store managers must start from the ground up, and they now make a minimum of $100,000. IN N OUT from the beginning, since 1948...always viewed the people who work for them as family and treat them as such. They are blessed by God....I believe.
In-N-Out Burger has a secret unpublished menu for insiders who are In-The-Know. Next time you’re at In-N-Out, order a bag of these off-the-menu specials:
“3-by-3” = three meat patties and three slices of cheese.
“4-by-4” = four meat patties and four slices of cheese.
“2-by-4” = two meat patties and four slices of cheese.
*Note: You can get a burger with as many meat patties or cheese slices as you want. Just tell the In-N-Out Burger cashier how many meat patties and how much cheese you want and that is what you’ll get! For instance, if you want 6 pieces of meat and 10 pieces of cheese tell them you want a “6-by-10.”
“Double Meat” = like a Double Double without cheese.
“3 by Meat” = three meat patties and no cheese.
“Animal Style” = the meat is cooked and fried with mustard and then pickles are added, extra spread and grilled onions are added.
“Animal Style Fries” = fries with cheese, spread, grilled onions and pickles (if you ask for them).
“Protein Style” = for all you low-carbohydrate dieters, this is a burger with no bun (wrapped in lettuce).
“Flying Dutchman” = two meat patties, two slices of melted cheese and nothing else - not even a bun!
Fries “Well-Done” = extra crispy fries . . . even better than the regular!
Fries “Light” = opposite of fries well-done, more raw than most people like ‘em
“Grilled Cheese” = no meat, just melted cheese, tomato, lettuce and spread on a bun.
“Veggie Burger” = burger without the patty or cheese. Sometimes we call this the “Wish Burger.”
“Neapolitan” Shake = strawberry, vanilla and chocolate blended together.
I cannot for the life of me figure out what the big deal is with these In N Out places, except maybe that they don't have a 365Black program.
ML/NJ
I got a little chest pain looking at that picture.
Ex-SoCal living in OK, since '97.
Been dreaming of In-N-Out since I left SoCal....
She was a daughter of a brother or something like that....
Nice girl.
Whoa!!
Damn...I hope they move one state North too!!
If In N Out didn’t have such a cult following they wouldn’t be popular. Really they aren’t that good, sure of the low end fastfood burgers they’re probably the best, but they’re still low end fastfood burgers.
I’m sure it will be like when IKEA came to Frisco, had to park bloody two miles away from the store.
And proud of it. Really I just don’t get it. Sure if my choice was McDs, Burger King or In N Out I’ll go for INO; but if I have any other options I’m heading there. Unless I’ve got the jones on for a milkshake, but even then if there’s any other options I’ll be taking those.
Sounds great. I’m in Denver. Out of luck.
Hey, I’ll have you know we drove from Dallas to Norman OK just to eat at Marie Callanders! That’s where the neartest Marie Callander’s is and you know, their burger is very good. I just read the article about IN N OUT opening here and my bet is they will move into OK sooner than later. With the new meat processing plant here in Dallas, that opens whole new markets within 500 mile radius. Keep the faith!
And take a drive to North Dallas for an IN N OUT burger, make a weekend out of it....as you know....it’s worth it!
Yeah..sorry about no IN N OUT in Denver. I guess your nearest one is Utah. Sorry.......
Yeah, I think, from what I read, the Karcher’s were good people. So were the Snyders who started IN N OUT. Friends with the Karcher’s for many years.
The two Marie Callendar’s in our area (California desert) have both closed recently.
