Hoyle and trouble ping.
Oh boy!!
*gritted teeth*
I will watch — and ONLY watch — this thread!!!!
Two of my brothers and I came to the same conclusion about 8 years ago while having beers after a football game...
I bet they asked the wrong question.
They found the magical Penumbra of Emanations from which the Supreme Court draws its conclusions.

Bflr
Big Hoyle has been gouging us long enough. We need to quit subsidizing it.
Who created the elements??? These people have there head where it should not be. (I’m a lady and will not say where their head is stuck.)

Yup.
And the new news is that it seems the findamental constants of nature ain’t.
Constant, that is.
So whatever these guys spent big bucks to find so that they can get all puffed up about it will be outmoded in like maybe 9 more months or so.
The closer we look, the more elusive it gets.
When will they add Unobtainium and Upsidaisium to the chart?
And I would say the title is misleading. This has zero to do about how life started. Energy levels? Heck, if the energy levels weren’t right, the chair I’m sitting on would evaporate into the cosmos.
If they want to talk about life starting, tell me about the origins of the cellular membrane. Tell me how the sodium-potassium pump started, since life as we know it is impossible without it.
I really wish these editors would catch on...
(PS: I realize the title is what the article has, so I’m not whining about anybody here...)
;’) That’s probably what inspired this one. Either that, or the bogus map of the world that came as a fold out in the “National Lampoon Encyclopedia of Humor” back in the 1970s.
VERY misleading title.
We have a picture.
