Kerning is a computer process that allows certain letter combinations to "invade" each other's space for the purpose of readability and economy of space.

Yes, I noticed this on his short form COLB. Not only did it use kerning, but the type font looked oddly modern for the time. But the fact that the letters were not fixed space was odd for a document that was supposed to have been created before the advent of computer typesetting.

This looks similar to the Hospital name on the Nordyke certificate. It can be explained by some letters being less condensed than others. This looks typical of a typewriter, actually.

Figure it out folks. They wanted everyone to see that it’s a forgery. That’s why it’s such a *bad* job.
