YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY WHITEWATER IS IMPORTANT
FR - 1995 | 1995 | unk

Posted on 04/26/2011 7:23:10 PM PDT by cd jones

YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY WHITEWATER IS IMPORTANT ?

*WHY GO BACK TO SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED YEARS AGO ?

*WHY NOT LET THE PRESIDENT GET ON WITH HIS JOB ?

*ISN'T HEALTH CARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHITEWATER ?

ALL THE ABOVE ARE THE CLICHES, THE COUNTER ATTACKS, THE WHITEHOUSE IS USING TO TAKE THE HEAT OFF THE PRESIDENT AND HIS WIFE

WHY IS WHITEWATER IMPORTANT ? LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION--

WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THE PRESIDENTS PLAN WILL IMPROVE HEALTH CARE IN AMERICA?

WHAT MAKES YOU THINK IT WILL WORK ?

HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE READ THE 1342 PAGES OF HIS PLAN ?

NOT MANY, ONLY KARL MARX COULD UNDERSTAND IT

SO, LET ME ASK YOU, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THE CLINTON HEALTH CARE PLAN WILL WORK ?

IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT, I CONTEND THE ONLY REASON YOU THINK IT WILL WORK IS BECAUSE CLINTON SAID IT WOULD !

BILL CLINTON GAVE HIS WORD, HE PROMISED IT WILL WORK

SO HE GAVE HIS WORD, IS IT NOT FAIR AND REASONABLE TO EXAMINE HOW HE KEEPS HIS WORD ?

IS IT NOT LEGITIMATE TO UNDERTAKE THAT ENTERPRISE ?

IF HE PROMISES SOMETHING, ISN'T IT WORTHWHILE TO LOOK INTO WHETHER OR NOT HE KEEPS HIS WORD ?

YOU KNOW OUR PRESIDENT DID NOT COME TO US WITH A HALO OF CHARACTER, AN AURA OF HONESTY..

REMEMBER THE DRAFT NOTICE HE SAID HE NEVER GOT, THEN HE REMEMBERED HE DID GET ONE ?

THEN THERE ARE THE BIMBOS THAT KEEP COMING OUT OF THE WOODWORK, HIS OWN PEOPLE HAVE CALLED THEM THE 'BIMBO ERUPTIONS'. (GENIFER FLOWERS, PALA JONES)

LITTLE THINGS THAT COULD DAMAGE ANY REPUTATION, ANY EXCEPT HIS

OK, LETS LOOK AT MORE RECENT LIES

HILLARY SAID SHE DID HER OWN COMMODITY TRADING, NOW WE KNOW THAT SOMEBODY ELSE DID. FIRST THERE WERE MARGIN CALLS, NOW THERE WEREN'T MARGIN CALLS. THEN SHE SAID SHE STOPPED TRADING IN THE CATTLE FUTURES BEFORE CHELSEA WAS BORN BECAUSE IT WAS TOO NERVE RACKING, BUT THE LATEST PAPERS RELEASED REVEAL THAT SHE WAS STILL TRADING WELL AFTER THE OF CHELSEA BIRTH.

DURING THE PRESIDENT LAST TOWN MEETING, HE STATED THAT ALL TAXES WERE PAID ON ALL PROFITS. NOW WE LEARN THERE IS THE LITTLE MATTER OF 6,000 DOLLARS OF PROFIT (14,000 DOLLARS WITH INTEREST) THAT WAS OVERLOOKED.

THE MATTER OF THE 20,000 DOLLAR LOAN GIVEN TO HIS MOTHER THAT THEY CLAIMED AS INTEREST PAYMENTS ON WHITEWATER. ONLY REMEMBERED AFTER READING ABOUT IT IN HIS POOR LATE MOTHERS BOOK !

THIS MASSAGING OF THE TRUTH, THESE LIES, THEY DIDN'T OCCUR YEARS AGO FOLKS, THEY ARE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW, YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND THERE WILL BE MORE TOMORROW.

WHY, WHY IS WHITEWATER IMPORTANT ? I'LL TELL YOU WHY....

YOU ARE BETTING YOUR FAMILIES HEALTH ON THE PRESIDENTS CHARACTER

YOU'RE BETTING YOUR FREEDOM

YOU'RE BETTING YOUR FREEDOM OF CHOICE

YOU'RE BETTING YOUR INDEPENDENCE

YOU ARE BETTING YOUR INDIVIDUALITY ON THE PRESIDENTS HONESTY

YOU HAVEN'T READ THE PLAN, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S IN THE PLAN, HE PROMISES IT WILL BE ALRIGHT

YOU ARE ACCEPTING HIS WORD

YOUR ARE LETTING THEM MOVE OVER ONE SEVENTH OF OUR GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT AND PUT IT UNDER GOVERNMENT CONTROL. THE HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY HAS BEEN THE FASTEST GROWING INDUSTRY IN THE LAST 15 YEARS. IT PROVIDES MILLIONS OF JOBS.

YOU ARE PLACING YOUR FAMILIES FUTURE FREEDOM AND HEALTH IN HIS HANDS, TRUSTING HIS TRUTHFULNESS

OH, THE PRESIDENT LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE AND NOT HEALTH CARE!

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

FACTS:

IT IS NOT, I REPEAT, NOT, IMMORAL THAT SOME CITICENS OF OUR SOCIETY HAS EARNED AND CAN AFFORD TOP NOTCH HEALTH CARE AND OTHERS CANNOT, NOT ANY MORE IMMORAL THAN HARD WORKING PEOPLE BEING ABLE TO AFFORD A MERCEDES OR BUY A HOME.

THE MORE PEOPLE THAT DEPEND ON GOVERNMENT, THE STRONGER THESE PEOPLE GET. THIS IS THEIR MOTIVE.

IT IS NOT THE AMERICAN WAY TO PUNISH ACHIEVEMENT. IT IS COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE, THIS TACTIC IS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO.

WHITEWATER ,THE COMMODITY TRADING, A FAILED SAVINGS AND LOAN WAS ALL A WAY OF CONTRIBUTING LOTS OF DOLLARS TO A MAN THAT WAS THEN ATTORNEY GENERAL, AND EVENTUALLY GOVERNOR OF ARKANSAS. WONDER WHAT FAVORS WERE GIVEN. ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── AND HE AND HIS WIFE DARE TO CONDEMN THE 'GREEDY 80s'

THEY COME TO WASHINGTON RIDING ON A WHITE HORSE OF PURITY, WHAT A JOKE. IF YOU ARE GONNA RIDE YOUR WHITE HORSE AND LOOK DOWN ON EVERYBODY, YOU BETTER MAKE SURE YOU'RE ON IT !

THESE 2 AND THEIR ARKANSAS INSIDE-POLITICAL ELITE, ARE THE EPITOME OF HYPOCRISY...HYPOCRISY COVERED WITH ARROGANCE.

JUST THINK ABOUT IT MY FRIEND

What Does July 4th Mean To Me?

Received via E-Mail
George Fallon

I remember fireworks displays that began with the National Anthem and ended with God Bless America.

I remember when it was known only as "Independence Day" and the stores down town that held big sales had American flags for the adults (ten cents) and pinwheels with stars and stripes for the kids (5 cents).

I remember when fireworks were legal for Americans to own.

I remember that every year, a couple of people got hurt or maimed because they weren't careful with the fireworks...about the same number who are hurt today now that they are illegal.

I remember when it meant parades and picnics where they played George M. Cohan songs and the people cheered.

I remember the soldiers and sailors and Marines in their uniforms, and the people cheered when they went by.

I remember when the American flag flew so high they had to lower it when they passed under phone lines.

I remember wearing my uncle's Marine Corps cap and thinking I was about the most dashing six-year-old on the planet.

I remember a feeling in my chest that I later learned was pride. When the local hero, a Medal of Honor winner, rode by in a 1952 Plymouth convertible and saluted me and called my name, I felt I could fly just like Superman.

I remember when it was a good thing to be a warrior and a Veteran.

That was in the days when we started the school day with a prayer, the pledge of allegiance and the singing of America.

That was in the days when everyone I knew was poor and wore hand me down clothes.

We played stick ball in the empty lot and put playing cards in the spokes of our second hand bicycles and caught catfish in the river with a pole made out of an old stick.

We went to the fireman's carnival at the fairgrounds and took hours deciding just how we were going to spend the nickle that Grandma gave us.

I remember "Crazy Mickey"...a retarded adult who used to take the hat off when the flag went by.

I also remember when it all changed...I think the whole world changed...

I remember that the town kept having parades but there was usually a contingent of War protestors that followed a block behind.

Then the parades gradually got shorter and the crowds thinned out.

Independence Day hasn't been the same for about 30 years now.

We still have the Parades, but fewer and fewer people show up. Those who do...I don't think many of them are there for the same reasons that we were back in 1955...

We still have the big sales in the stores but I haven't seen a red, white and blue pinwheel in years.

We still have the picnics but people don't talk to each other the way they used to...

In a lot of places, people tolerate veterans rather than respect them, and I think that's because Americans today take freedom for granted.

That happens when something is handed to you and you don't have to work for it.

Wealth is flaunted, poverty is shunned, honor and courage are given lip service by politicans who never served or risked anything.

The veteran community is shrinking and a couple of generations from now when we're all gone, our great grand children will have to learn the hard way that Freedom isn't something you once once and keep forever.

Freedom is a perishable comodity that has to be protected if it is to endure.

Today, fat cats and slackers who never fought for anything, are eagerly surrendering the rights and freedoms that were handed to them. They are willing to trade honor for a new car every couple of years, a time share in the Poconos and an occasional government handout.

And that's ok for them...but they are also throwing away our rights and freedoms with their own.

Higher taxes, erosion of the Bill of Rights, government agency mission creep...

A veteran has to wonder what it was all for.

It brings to mind the last verse of song about a crippled Australian veteran of Gallipoli in WW1:

So now every April I sit on me porch
And watch the parade pass before me.
And I see my old comrades, how proudly they march
Reviving old dreams and past glory,
And the old men march slowly, all bone stiff and sore
They're tired old heros from a forgotten war
And the young people ask "What are they marching for?"
And I ask myself the same question.
But the band plays Waltzing Matilda,
And the old men still answer the call,
But as year follows year, more old men disappear
Someday,no one will march there at all.
But we can change all that if we really want to.

Let this year's 4th of July fireworks display serve as a wake up call to all of us. Let's work to bring back the Freedoms and liberties and ideals that our Veterans fought for.

I want to be able to light Roman Candles and sparklers in my back yard again.

I want to be able to decide for myself if I should wear a helmet when I ride my motorcycle.

I don't want someone who never rode a motorcycle to decide for me.

I want to quit smoking because it's bad for me...not because politicans double the price of a pack of cigarettes.

I'm not really into guns, but I want to be able to keep one in my home if I choose.

I don't want people who are afraid of what they might do with a gun telling me that I don't need one. Need has nothing to do with it. Nobody needs a gun or a muscle car or a microwave oven for that matter, but if they want one and haven't forfeited that right by committing a violent crime, I think they should be free to do so.

I want to be able to watch what I want to on television and to read what I want and think what I want without special interests dictating the rules to me.

I want to never have to worry about being Politically Correct. Some people believe it would make the country a more orderly place if everyone were issued a social security number at birth.

If I had my way, I would see to it that everyone was issued a copy of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I would also make it a law that they read and memorize the entire thing. Then everyone would realize that our Founding Fathers felt the individual has the right to do anything he wants, as long as he doesn't infringe on the rights of others.

But I digress....

Until things change around here, I guess that to me, the 4th of July will be a reminder of those good old days when we all knew where we stood in the world...

On the 4th of July I will raise the flag and say the Pledge of Allegiance with my hand over my heart and I will think of my grandparents and parents and aunts and uncles who helped save the world 54 years ago.

I'll watch the parades of yesterday in my mind and I'm sure I'll look foolish to anyone who sees me...But I'll be exercising my right to do so and I'll feel good about it.

Then for the rest of every year, I'll do whatever I can to bring those days...those values...back again...for all of us.

I salute you Jim Robinson as a true American Patriot, and for serving our great country!

I am a 47 year old mom and wife. I have never served in the military. But recently I was in Europe. We visited Dachau in Germany. One of Hitler's concentration camps. Freedom from evil leaders like Hitler is so precious. The atrocities committed there had to be stopped. In WWII many lives were lost, many European cities were bombed, some were distroyed. I shudder to think of what the world would be like today if the allied forces had not stopped Hitler and his mad regime.

My uncle, Richard Thoos, is still missing in action from WWII. He was on a B17 and was shot down over France. His body and dog tags were never found. He was presumed dead, because men in a nearby B17 didn't see any survivors parachute to safety after they were hit. In Dachau I felt more proud of Richard than I ever have before. When he was a young man, he helped to save the world from tyranny. My grandmother Stella Rosetta Hargrove Thoos Cooper never emotionally recovered. But she didn't talk about it to her grandchildren. She didn't mention it, she kept it inside, I found out as an adult that Richard's death had impacted her so intensely. She didn't let her pain stop her from being the most wonderful grandma on earth.

Now they are together in heaven with Grandpa and my father.

To all of you military veterans and active duty people - THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART AND GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!!

Would anyone like to join me in the Marine Corps Hymn? From the top...a one and a two...

The Marine Corps Hymn

From the Halls of Montezuma
to the Shores of Tripoli,
We fight our country's battles
In the air and land and sea.
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean,
We are proud to claim the title of
THE UNITED STATES MARINES.

Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve.
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve.
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded by
UNITED STATES MARINES.

Our flag's unfurled to ev'ry breeze
From dawn to setting sun.
We have fought in ev'ry clime and place
Where we could take a gun.
From the snow of far-off northern lands
To the sunny tropic scenes,
You will find us always on the job,
THE UNITED STATES MARINES.

I am reminded of a time in Switzerland, three years ago. There were some Britons on the project. One particularly lazy Brit asked me a question one day on his normal morning break. The nature of the question is why this scene is forever etched in my memory. The question: "So why do you Americans favor private gun ownership, with all the crime and murder you have that goes along with it?" This was in line with his 'I'm British and I am civilized' attitude.

Looking up from my work I said to him, without delay, "cause if we didn't, we'ed still be talking like you," in my best southern accent.

Wow! Powerful stuff for me. I've been living in Canada since 1964 when I married a Canadian, but have remained an American citizen. Having grown up in the fifties, I still get goosebumps and choked up with our flag and National Anthem (I'm so disgusted when singers try to change it).

I have a number of uncles who fought in WWII, including one who was a POW and never, ever talked about it. Actually, last week he had surgery for throat cancer and we don't as yet know the prognosis. This may be a good chance to ask for prayers for him. Please pray for him. I don't have much info about his captivity but was told a movie was somewhat based on his prison camp. It's either Stalag 17 or 19 or something like that. Anyway, he is one of the many, many American heroes who "did the right thing". Hope it's not inappropriate to ask for prayers for him on this forum. If so, sorry.

A big "hearfelt" thanks to ALL of our veterans. We owe you so much. God Bless you and God Bless America (especially these days)!!!!!

I have flown with the best, and I am proud to say that Spectre was our name. Soaring above in the night, we could suddenly strike erupting the ground in flame. Like the tongue of a dragon, flickering tracers of fire rained from on high. And all who saw this fearsome sight knew it was the Ghostrider in the sky. A call for help was what it took to bring Spectre on the scene. To our friends we were a gift from heaven, to others we were mean. Some thought they saw lightening, others thought it was hail. But when the truth was known, it was Spectre kicking tail. Now times have changed, and Spectre's on the roost. But on a summer night when everything is calm, I can hear the distant thunder and see faint flashes too. Then I think of Spectre, and am proud to have flown with you.

Chief,

July 3rd I'll be at Gettysburg to watch my Brother and Sister in Law in reenactment of one of the series of battles there to preserve the Union, those that President Lincoln talked about.

July 4th I'll have up the Stars and Stripes. Alongside it will be the USMC Red, honoring my son-in-law, the USMC Lt who married my daughter in February.

She's the first that left the confines of a Navy family in which EVERYONE served USA.

Reagan was a great speaker and a great President.

While we wait for Doug's limerick, Rush Limbaugh's Dad wrote an excellent piece about America. He spent many hours in the library, to make sure the information was correct. For another very moving article click on:

My 75 year old father hid his purple heart in his drawer because he had so many painful memories. Was left for dead in a red wave in the pacific. When I found it I was about 10 and remember asking if he had killed anyone. (stupid kid question). On the subject of prayer: The scripture says, "The prayers of a righteous man availeth much." I consider the people on this website, of whatever faith discipline, to be like that - disciplined and strong in that faith. Any request for prayer is treated very seriously in this house.

We ask for your prayers for our son and for all the brave and fine young people to whom the torch has been passed to protect and defend the United States of America.

Gosh you live in a depressing place. We have great parades every 4th of July all over this county. Each year there are more towns shooting off fireworks, there are Six shows within driving distance and seven parades. Fewer and fewer veterans in the parades though because the World War II generation is getting up there---that was a lot of vets.

The guys who march almost always do because they lost friends overseas. I hope someday that no one will have to say that.

The little town near my ranch has a street called Avenue of the Flags. A dozen tall flag poles fly Old Glory 24 hours a day, lit brightly at night. What a beautiful sight.

Yeah, patriotism is definitely a happeing thing here in....

We have freedom to worship, we note
To own guns and to protest and vote
On the 4th of July
As the colors go by
There is always a lump in my throat

I love my country. Everyday, despite the hills and valleys in life, despite the long hours of work, despite the struggle to earn and living and take care of my family, I thank God that I am one of the lucky people in the history of this planet to be born in this nation between 1776 and the present.

So many people take what we have for granted. They forget that brave men, supported by their braves wives, decided to risk their very lives and rise up to defeat tyranny. They wrote history's most important document to identify, indeed create, those principles of freedom that man has sought since he first lived in organized society.

The United States of America has been the greatest force for good and for freedom that the world has known. What does this country do when it defeats an enemy in war? We rebuild that country and make those people's lives better who were once our enemy and who once wanted to destroy our way of life. I have incalculable disdain for those who live in this country and do nothing but complain about America. We are not a racist nation. We are not an evil nation. We are not a selfish nation.

Very often I think about those two great generations of Americans this nation has produced. They are the generation who gave birth to our country and the generation who saved the world from the Nazis. Those who attempt to pervert and subvert our Constitution do dishonor to those brave and righteous people who sacrificed so much.

On this two hundred twenty second birthday of America, I renew my vow to be true to its founding principles. I will speak out against those who abuse the public trust and who have been corrupted by power. To do anything less is to not be an American.

God bless the United States of America!

As this thread winds down, I'd like to add a poem I knew once. It was inspired by a Bill Mauldin cartoon showing a GI eating from a C ration can while a French waif watches. You know that the GI will feed that little girl as soon as she gets brave enough to approach. The poem is entitled:

The Warrior and the Orphan

Look up, child, and fear not,
For I am only a soldier.
And 'though my number is legion
And history is my name,
My greatest hour is but a moment's sorrow
And victory is the death of my kind.
The thunder of a thousand wars
Is lost in the silence of your tears.
To forgive me all my gloried sins
You have only to dry your eyes.
Please, child, for the soul of a soldier.

I've always kind of favored that one. My best wishes to all who have posted here. Your postings have given me and mine a solid start to a wonderful Independence Day.

My dad was a marine in WWII. He fought in Bogenville and Guadalcanal, from what i'm told, two of the last places on earth you would want to have been. His whole family told me he came back different than when he went. He was hard to make friends with after that, said he didn't want to get too close to anybody, cause losing 'em hurt so bad. Yeah, we got pictures back, but the best part of my dad was left in the war. It's the price he paid for my freedom, our freedom.

Thanks Dad, I'll never forget what you and yours did for this country.

Sounds fun, I hate Clinton. His policies sunk the USS Cole Aden, Yemen an enemy port. His security reports knew this. for years prior to my retirement from the fleet, Yemen was totally “hands - off.”

When Clinton released 150,000 sailors and marines, he also forced the decommissioning of 96 ships. 75%, or 72 were front line combatants, the remaining 14 ships were auxillaries, either aged fleet oilers and tenders designed to refuel ships out to sea, a skill learned at some cost prior to WW II.

Such ignorance is equivalent to treason in my book.

Additionally, during his tenure in the District of Corruption, Clinton allowed the Legacy program at Sandia Labs in Los Alamos to be compromised by the Chinese Communists. Assisted China in a satellite launching capability to further his own means using American NASA technicians and American taxpayer money.

More treason.
