The 15 Most Expensive Places To Buy Gas In The World

Americans are fretting over the rising cost of gasoline, and are now paying above $4 a gallon for gas in some spots in the country.

But that $4 a gallon number is nothing compared to some corners of the earth, where high taxes drive gas prices higher.

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GTZ), a German research firm, reviewed prices in November of 2010, and found some countries with gas costing more than $9 a gallon. And that's BEFORE the surge in oil prices spurred on by instability in the Middle East,

This data also provides a little clarity as to why European countries are so inhibited by the rising price of Brent, as their economies already are burdened by high gas prices due to taxes, according to GTZ

You have to love leftists arguments like this. Because other socialist basket case and Eurotrash countries have higher prices than ours, I am supposed to be grateful. Screw you. If you notice, most of the price disparity is with the taxes on the fuel in these places. Oh no. Turkey has the highest price on a gallon? Who cares. What exactly do they produce of value? It doesn't matter whether they get to work or not there.

I always thought the world’s most expensive place to get gas was a five-star restaurant when the chef was having a really bad day.

A lot of leftists would love it if the average American lifestyle more closely resembled that of Eritreans.

An in none of those places do they drive electric cars!!!!

Because, even at those high prices, it is still more economical to drive conventional gasoline powered cars.

And yet, despite the evidence to the contrary, there are still people in the government and academia that think if we can just raise the price of gasoline it would cause people to switch to electric vehicles.

The gasoline price point at which people would start to buy electric vehicles is so high, that the economy would be a smoldering disaster long before we reached it.

Frankly, I could care less what other countries pay.

Their citizens caved to socialism and econonsense. They reap what they’ve sown.

Sounds great to me ,, I’ll be fishing everyday as my job would have gone away at about the $5 point .. of course by that time a bag of ice will be $5 because coal would be outlawed... I’ll just have to cook them fresh every day over a wood fire..

Uh, it's the devaluation of the American dollar, NOT Middle East troubles.

Why would I give a rat’s ass what they are paying? The breadth of Europe is insignificant compared with traversing just Texas. We have the resources to bring the price down and we could begin with the states telling the democrats to FOAD and take back all land and resources within their state boundaries. The democrat party is fighting, cheating and stealing elections to bring back what they lost in the Civil War — slavery. This time around those of us who work are to be their new slaves; tax slaves.
