Washington Compost Even Admits Palin Is The ONLY Credible First Tier Candidate Out There.

Here’s a concession from a Democrat Party partisan in the Washington Post: The truth is that Palin remains the only real first-tier presidential candidate the Republicans have — the only candidate who has been on a national ticket. Should she decide to run an active campaign, she would likely recover a good bit of the ground she has lost…It’s still not too late for her to give a series of serious policy speeches; not too late for her to put together a real campaign staff; not too late for her to crisscross Iowa and New Hampshire; and not too late, certainly, for her to raise tons of money for a campaign…. [A]s a first-tier candidate, a late start wouldn’t really be a major disadvantage. It’s not as if she would be Gary Hart in 1988, George McGovern in 1984, or Gene McCarthy in 1972 — a former heavyweight reduced to an object of curiosity. If Palin does wind up entering the race and running an active campaign, she’ll almost certainly be a major player.

I love this woman, she embodies all that is still good about America.

Go Sarah go!

From a few of the comments Palin’s made in the past couple of months, I really believe she’s going to run.

What i also believe is that when she does announce, she’ll suck the oxygen away from the other candidates...PERIOD!

I don’t believe this. A democrat insider would never use the word ‘crosshairs’.

Exactly why would she be going to Israel again and sending out fundraising letters that say “help me lay the groundwork for 2012” if she wasn’t running?

And if she does announce, Mittster's exploratory committee will be dissolved.

The polls released for public consumption are garbage. The results don't aling with the MSM's and Dem's behaviors. IMO, polls commissioned by candidates and parties tell a completely different story.

Not to derail the thread, but from your screen name, I gather you’re from the Florida Panhandle?

I only ask because I was stationed at Eglin for about 8 years. Sorry to be rude for asking.

A late start? Good grief, why does a campaign have to go for a year and a half?

My only point was that she hasn’t made a formal announcement yet.

I knew she went to Israel, but had no idea that she had gone there for the purpose of laying groundwork for her campaign.

Pensacola, actually, or as we have been called (and I hate it) the “Redneck Riviera”. I live about 20 miles east of the FL/AL border.

I agree completely!

I always lagh when i hear the MSM breathlessly pushing a poll that has Huckster in the lead. The media always pushes the candidate they do NOT fear!

Good grief, they were going after Palin as a privatecitizen. This told me one thing: “The media and the Leftists are scared crapless of Palin!”

The first trip was described as an appetizer trip, she will go back and meet with more of the politicians there and media for an official trip.

It's still 18 months before the election. This business of the MSM trying to goad her into declaring early is ridiculous. Read this article for the reasons why...
