With the passage of time, I see it as a memorial now, especially after re-watching Ken Burns' series.

It means there’s gonna be a hell of a party at that house at some point in the future.
Lots of Southern families in southeastern Michigan.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

It means a a rifle rack, a pit bull, bourbon whiskey and NASCAR. Throw in a barefoot pregnant gal and some banjo music and I guess the picture is complete.
Wink.

It means a right to work state where liberty and freedo prevail over the evil of forced unionism.

To me, it means the “Stars and Bars” looked too much like the “Stars and Stripes”, so they needed to design a battle flag that would avoid any confusion.

Opposition to a leviathan, centralized empire.

There’s a boat basin at the eastern end of the Cape Cod Canal. There’s a small fishing boat that berths there that flies the Stars and Bars every day. He never seems to get any flack despite the incongruity of the location. Brings a smile to face every time I see it.

A lot of them stayed. I had a linguist tell me he could pick out a southern Michigan accent.
I used to work with a guy named Gator Pruitt. If that ain’t southern I don’t know what is.
