When I was at OCS way back when, I LOVED the Napsters - one of the funny things they did (back when you could have fun in the Nav) was stage a commando raid in full cammo on the SWOS school one night...too cool!
Retirement is not too bad - due to your service, you end up being smarter than the average bears out there...
The tough thing is watching what is happening to our Navy from the side lines...
The good thing is you don’t have to deal with the b*** s**t anymore...

Was Army myself, but all my friends were Navy, and every one of them was on the old Destroyer Mansfield at one time or another. I’ll tell them about you, and see what they say I should say to you in Navy speak on your retirement. Knowing them I won’t be able to post it, but it will be in jest.
Congratulations on your retirement.
My gratitude knows no bounds for the men and women who serve our country by taking up arms and risking their lives to protect me. Yes, I take it very personally, and I thank them and pray for them every day.
But now I’m delighted to tell you again how very much your service is appreciated. You’re a familiar presence to me here on FR, and I know you to be a kind and reasonable man. It’s good to know you, and I hope you’re around here for a very long time, spreading your sunshine.
Congratulations for your long service, and may you have a happy, healthy retirement. You deserve no less.
