Should Congress Compromise or Shut Down?

Two sides should find some middle ground on federal spending and avoid a shutdown.

GOP should hold out for deeper cuts, even if it means a shutdown.

Dems should fight harder to protect essential programs, even if it means a shutdown.

It’s not even close for a shutdown. Now if Boner could wake up and see the mood of the people.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

The Republicans need to hammer home the truth that the Demorats ran away from passing a budget last year because they didn’t want to deal with the consequences.

This budget needed to be passed by Oct 1st. Instead they ignored their duty as our representatives, scared that they would hurt their chances with their Democrat electorate should they pass a budget.

Now if Boner could wake up and see the mood of the people.

Maybe some concerned constituents could send him some of those little blue pills to stiffen up his fortitude.

Note - shipping prescription medications might be illegal, so don't try this at home.

Nobody seems to be talking about that little detail.

Every day that the Senate fails to vote on a House passed Budget bill (any year), the house should add another CUT, pass it and send it to the Senate!

A compromise will be meaningless in the long run. It will just delay the crash by a few days.
