28pc of U.S. women have kids by more than one man

An American study of the prevalence of multiple partner fertility has found that 28 percent of all U.S. women with two or more children have children by more than one man.

While previous studies have examined how common multiple partner fertility is among younger women, or among women who live in urban areas, the research by Dorius is the first to assess prevalence among a national sample of U.S. women who have completed their child-bearing years.

...

She found that having children by different fathers was more common among minority women, with 59 percent of African American mothers, 35 percent of Hispanic mothers and 22 percent of white mothers reporting multiple partner fertility.

Women who were not living with a man when they gave birth and those with low income and less education were also more likely to have children by different men.

But she also found that multiple partner fertility is surprisingly common at all levels of income and education and is frequently tied to marriage and divorce rather than just single parenthood.

I have two sisters.... both of them have children from more than one father. Only one child was born outside of marriage, however.

I think the more important question is, “How many of these children born to multiple fathers are being supported by the government?”

And then they want to marry some poor, schmuck "nice guy" to take care of them.

Not perverse, but still iniquity, along with other things. See above

If the women are not their wives, yes so much.
It is written.

I know, it sounds pretty lame.

It also doesn't differentiate between a gal who has a kids by first and second husbands, and a good-old HO.

I think the real key stats is that the overwhelming majority of these 28% of women are minorities. 78% of the 28% are black or hispanic.

Given that together the total population that is black and hispanic in the usa is about 30%, this suggests that there is gross over-representation by blacks and hispanics when it comes to their women having kids by more than one man.

Literally they are throwing themselves at more than one man to get this kind of representation in these statistics given their demographic group sizes.

If you aren’t married it is. It is NATURAL, ie not homosexual, but if you look at the OT punishment levels, they were the same - and no, I ma not saying bring the punishments back, it’s just to show they both had equally severe punishments.

Considering the statistics on divorce and remarriage in the US, I'm surprised it's not more than 28%.

Might be true, but my paternal grandmother was a wealthy landowner, and had multiple marriages, multiple children, as well as my mother who also was a self reliant female all of us have different fathers. I broke the cycle : ) Of all my blended family siblings I am the only one (out of 10) that has not been divorced and my husband is the father of both of our children. But I give Christ all the glory for this.

It’s not listed as one of your reasons, but my first wife who I left some 21 years ago is a lesbian. Nuff said. However, at least half the people are divorced because their spouse wanted it. You’re honestly not allowed to keep them prisoner should they decide to leave.

"What percentage of the women let their husbands know that they are not all his?"

What percentage of the women can't guess who the daddies are of ANY of their children?
