It's long been the stuff of science fiction fantasy but time travel could be a real possibility say scientists.
Furthermore, they believe the 17-mile-long Large Hadron Collider (LHC) based underground near Geneva holds the key.
The theory is that the worlds biggest atom smasher might be able to unleash the Higgs singlet - a particle that could appear before the collision that produced it.
The mind-boggling theory is that it will have entered from another dimension.
There are a few obstacles in the way, however.

I’m in Robert Heinlein’s camp when it comes to these mind-bending concepts - if you can dream it up, it’s probably possible, either in this universe, or an alternate one.
You tell me, since you're the only one using it here.
"Don't have sex with her there, that's poison ivy!!!"
baloney! if time travel were possible, then there’d be tons of evidence all over the place.
I don’t remember using that? Can you prove it?

What thread? What’s a thread?
How would you know?

But reality is the new reality....
So what you’re saying (in a loud & colorful way ;) is that the particle appearance is a random event tied to a future action which we cannot know nor control due to the uncertainies in quantum mechanics...

Yes, your post made me wonder if this episode of Star Trek just might have had a little bit of creative influence on the Stargate story. I never really made the connection until you posted that picture.
