On CNN, Conservatives Gang Up To Attack “Circus Act” Glenn Beck
Mediaite ^ | 3/6/11 | Matt Schneider

Posted on 03/07/2011 5:06:58 AM PST by YankeeReb

On CNN’s Reliable Sources, conservatives Jennifer Rubin and David Frum discussed the declining television ratings of Glenn Beck and the recent conservative attacks on him. Rubin said Beck was creating a bad image for the Republican party, whereas Frum, a longtime Beck critic, suggested audiences are just tired of hearing ludicrous conspiracy theories.

Rubin, seemingly speaking on behalf of Beck’s “elite” conservative critics everywhere, said:

“Sure he doesn’t need our approval and we’re not giving him our approval. But to the extent to which he wants to influence events, which is presumably why does it – other than the money of course – he should seek to be part of the conversation as opposed to be a circus act which is what he’s become.”

Rubin and Frum aren’t conservatives. They’re just not flaming liberals, which in New York, passes for a conservative.

I love it when after Glenn proves a point or exposes the O administration he challenges them to prove him wrong by reaching over and picking up the red phone and says..”Call me!”

Re: Van Jones

Yes, it was Glenn Beck who widely outed this POS as a revolutionary communist.

Van Jones links "Green Movement" to revolutionary communist movement!

See "Goal is complete revolution" below...

VAN JONES (Obama's former 'Green Jobs Czar'):

YouTube:
"Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to President Obama, speaks [lovingly] about Green Job Czar, Van Jones, at the Netroots Convention on August 12, 2009. Then Van Jones speaks about [a COMMUNIST] transforming [of] the whole society."

"Jones was the leader and founder of a radical group, the communist revolutionary organization Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM. That group, together with Jones' Elle Baker Center for Human Rights, led a vigil Sept. 12, 2001, at Snow Park in Oakland, Calif.

STORM's official manifesto, titled, "Reclaiming Revolution," surfaced on the Internet."--via TheObamaFile

VAN JONES SHOCK ADMISSION [in his own words]: "Goal is Complete Revolution"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh4Z0V0zNQg
_________________________________________________

Here is the transcript of the above YouTube video:

“Right after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat if the civil rights leaders had jumped out and said OK now we want reparations for Slavery, we want redistribution of all the wealth, and we want to legalize mixed marriages. If we’d come out with a maximum program the very next day, they’d been laughed at. Instead they came out with a very minimum. “We just want to integrate these busses…”

But, inside that minimum demand was a very radical kernel that eventually meant that from 1964 to 1968 complete revolution was on the table for this country.

And, I think that this green movement has to pursue those same steps and stages.

Right now we say we want to move from suicidal gray capitalism to something eco-capitalism where at least we’re not fast-tracking the destruction of the whole planet. Will that be enough? No, it won’t be enough. We want to go beyond the systems of exploitation and oppression all together. But, that’s a process and I think that’s what’s great about the movement that is beginning to emerge is that the CRISIS is so severe in terms of joblessness, violence and now ecological threats that people are willing to be both pragmatic and visionary.

So the green economy will start off as a small subset and we are going to push it and push it and push it until it becomes the engine for transforming the whole society.

Here's the original source for the Van Jones quote about the time he spent in jail following the Rodney King/LA riots (Jones was arrested in "peaceful" protests in San Fran). It was in a 2005 interview he did with East Bay Express. They of course (what else?) claim he "renounced his rowdy Black Nationalist ways" since then (yet he's calling for "complete revolution" in Aug 2009! ...see above):

But in jail, he said, "I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.'" Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. "I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary." In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. "I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist."

The 1992 LA/Rodney King riots were instigated by the Revolutionary Communist Party...

From David Horowitz's FrontpageMag.com /DiscoverTheNetworks.org:

"Throughout its history, one of RCP's [Revolutionary Communist Party] principal objectives has been to foment civil unrest in the United States. The most notable example of such efforts occurred on April 29, 1992, when RCP members looted and trashed the downtown and government districts of Los Angeles, triggering the infamous Rodney King riots. During the days immediately preceding the violence, RCP -- which maintained close ties to the L.A. gangs known as the Crips and the Bloods -- had circulated throughout South Central Los Angeles a leaflet featuring a statement by RCP National Spokesman Carl Dix, titled 'It's Right To Rebel' -- a quote popularized by Mao Zedong.

Encouraged by Dix, RCP activists helped lead the riots that would leave 58 people dead, more than 2,300 people injured, some 5,300 buildings burned, and $1 billion in property damaged or destroyed. On the ten-year anniversary of the rioting, RCP member Joseph Veale fondly recalled the violence as 'the most beautiful, the most heroic civil action in the history of the United States.'"

Yes and he doesn’t exploit children like some networks. 60 minutes last night was an absolute disgrace what they did to those kids. These children did not want pressure at school from other children knowing their circumstances and then their stupid parents allow them to go on tv and 60 minutes takes advantage. I was sick to my stomach at the carelessness of the network and the parents on behalf of these children.

His researchers are ex-cia, fbi. There’s about 50 of them. They’re probably more knowledge than Panetta’s bunch. Panetta misses things all the time. Does Panetta ever own up to his mistakes? Nope.

I "like" Rush at facebook so I can look at his wedding photos and his pets.

and Mark Levin I "like" him.

Hannity, O' Reilly, Beck and everyone else but Rush and Levin don't get a "like" from me at Facebook.

Rush and Levin take no prisoners and waste time defending themselves.

I like Glenn but prefer him on the radio. The blackboards and not enough guests need some work for the tv show. I don't like studio audiences either and the preachy days. But, I'll stand with Glenn whether I like his tv format or not.

David Frum? Seriously?
CNN still trots that asshat out there as a “conservative”?

When Glenn put his tennis shoes on the desk and ate M & M's it was more watchable. If it is 5 and it's going to be intense, I've already had maybe a bad day. I don't need that on top of my reality. The material could be covered without the intensity. I think Glenn should have been an actor. He has the intensity to be an actor or a playwright. I didn't like his red pajamas in that little town. The miracle thing bugged me. The only thing Glenn might do that's a little ADD is magical thinking.

He's still okay in my book.

Glenn's bigger than Fox whatever happens happens. Rush left TV and it didn't wreck him.

Compared to Ed Schultz, Beck’s a saint.

He has exposed to the general public a lot of what some of us have known for years.

Can I be honest?

I don't need any bleeping talking head on television to tell me *anything*...It's all orchestrated and manipulated garbage filled with cheesy commercials...

I suggest everyone turn their taaa vaaas off.

I watched this show Sunday morning briefly. I regret watching it but it was like looking at a traffic accident, I just had to look at the carnage.

Someone made a libelous statment on that show. They claimed Beck said something like “Soros was helping put the jews on the death trains”. I highly doubt he ever said that.

If I were the tinfoil hat wearing type, I'd say there was a movement afoot to silence Beck.

Yes, indeed there is, just like there's a movement afoot to silence Charlie Sheen.

Neither movement will succeed.

I think you’re missing my point.

FReepers are, on the whole, much better informed than the general public (and even tea partiers).

Beck is doing the Lord’s work in educating those that will listen about what is really going on.

Most of what is regurgitated from the one-eyed monster is, as you say, “orchestrated and manipulated garbage.” However, it is *our* job to inform people about what our country is supposed to be and that right now it is going down the toilet, and who is responsible for that.

Beck’s show helps reach people that otherwise would not bother learning what is really going on.

first you ridicule the opposition...

how soon before these effete conservatives claim victimhood and then demand special laws to protect them.

beck may be hitting too many nerves on them...

And that, my friend, is why the left desperately wants to shut him down.

That’s not exactly what Beck was talking about. Soros’ parents got caught up in the holocaust and that documentation came from Soros’ background, not from Glenn B.

Frum is “conservative” like I am a Martian vacationing on Alpha Centuri.

But I hear Alpha Centuri is nice this time of year. ;-)

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.
