On CNNs Reliable Sources, conservatives Jennifer Rubin and David Frum discussed the declining television ratings of Glenn Beck and the recent conservative attacks on him. Rubin said Beck was creating a bad image for the Republican party, whereas Frum, a longtime Beck critic, suggested audiences are just tired of hearing ludicrous conspiracy theories.
Rubin, seemingly speaking on behalf of Becks elite conservative critics everywhere, said:
Sure he doesnt need our approval and were not giving him our approval. But to the extent to which he wants to influence events, which is presumably why does it other than the money of course he should seek to be part of the conversation as opposed to be a circus act which is what hes become.

If I were the tinfoil hat wearing type, I'd say there was a movement afoot to silence Beck.
Say what you want, the man does his homework and has exposed a lot these past 2 years.
Agree. I don’t agree completely with everything Beck says, but he certainly has done his homework.
He has exposed to the general public a lot of what some of us have known for years.
You know you’re over the target when you start taking flak.
Cable News Ratings for Thursday, March 3, 2011
Note to the MSM: Nice try.
Frum is “conservative” like I am a Martian
vacationing on Alpha Centuri.
Now that I think about it, it may be Beck’s demographics that has them really worried....
I’m watching Glenn all the time. His shows feature the connections and the shenanigans coming from the progs and their historical basis. Frankly, his shows should be packaged and used as curriculum for educating anybody who wants to know why we are so screwed.
BEck is great. Don’t let him go.
Yeah, next thing you know his ratings will be cut in half. Then he would only have slightly more viewers then CNN.
Here is a group of pundits at cnn, the first and lowest rated cable news network, running at their collective mouths about Glenn Beck, {his “terrible” ratings beat cnn and msnbc combined} and not a word about chrisy girl for her verbal lewinskys on osamaobama.
I think the bigger conspiracy is that David Frum is a conservative.
I thought the SAME thing.
He is over the target.
1. Who the hell is Jennifer Rubin?
2. David Frum is a known RINO. NO ONE cares what he thinks.
True, if Beck has done nothing else, he's mainstreamed things I've seen discussed on sites like FR, and backed them with research. The problem progressives have is that he takes their own words and asks them to explain what they mean, and they can't.
As one other poster said, he must be over the target if he's taking flak.
Always challenge with:
“Which of the facts I’ve presented, do you disagree with?”
Does CNN's "Reliable Sources" have an audience, or ratings?
What a coincidence.

Beck is one of a rare few who (properly) uses the ‘C’ word (communist) in describing Obama’s radical connections and agenda. Morons like Hannity hardly ever use it.
Yep. He markets himself as a “moderate”. He is not.
