On CNNs Reliable Sources, conservatives Jennifer Rubin and David Frum discussed the declining television ratings of Glenn Beck and the recent conservative attacks on him. Rubin said Beck was creating a bad image for the Republican party, whereas Frum, a longtime Beck critic, suggested audiences are just tired of hearing ludicrous conspiracy theories.
Rubin, seemingly speaking on behalf of Becks elite conservative critics everywhere, said:
Sure he doesnt need our approval and were not giving him our approval. But to the extent to which he wants to influence events, which is presumably why does it other than the money of course he should seek to be part of the conversation as opposed to be a circus act which is what hes become.

Of course they float all this crap when Beck and crew go on vacation...LOL.
Yup. Case in point, WI and the public unions.
It seems the more popular and highly paid these guys are, the less they know or understand, exception being Beck. O’Reilly is THE prime example of a severely overpaid know-nothing.
You could pretty much stop reading right there. Intoxicated by the Washington power elites, Frum's no longer as "conservative" as your average RINO. She's an open-borders neo-con. And by the way: how many thousands of times does Glenn Beck have to say on camera "this is not a conspiracy - it's being done right out in the open" for people to stop accusing him of being a "conspiracy theorist"?
Who in hell is Jennifer Rubin. Never heard of her. And David Frum is about as “Conservative” as David Brooks, which is to say, not at all.
I agree a break from Hannity or Beck is almost mandatory at times. Thats why I don’t often watch.
I’ve just noticed that conservatives will attack each other at the slightest provocation. All while insisting others should treat liberals with respect.
Beck and Hannity are the good guys. Both are entertainers who support the conservative cause and a strong America.
I don’t know how “ludicrous” Beck’s theories are, but I do understand why his ratings might be falling....his program is very intense, and I for one can’t watch for more than just a very few minutes.
Definitely, for me it's just constructive criticism. The more conservative voices the better, Lord knows conservatives (and libertarians) in the media are vastly outnumbered.
Slipping in ratings? Looks ta me like he still has the number 1 in the time slot. That’s a damn good book for the sales team to use!!
bttt
no kidding.
It’s phenomenal considering he’s in some pretty bad time slots. In the NY area his radio show goes from 9:00am till noon and his TV show is 5:00pm to 6:00pm. He’s after the morning drive and before most people are home from work. I know a few people who DVR the TV show just to watch it on weekends.
“Frum is ‘conservative’ like I am a Martian...”
_____________
Rubin, who supported Rudy Giuliani for president in 2008, is no conservative either. She’s a leftist newspaper’s (Washington Post) idea of what a conservative should be.

LOL! Good one.
Beck’s ratings are falling because it’s not an election year (well, not anymore).
Give it about a year and we’ll see his ratings climb back on up.
You are correct. Liberals are afraid of Beck. For one thing, I never heard of Van Jones before Glen talked about him.
Van Jones
Anyone who says his 'theories' are ludicrous is simply revealing their ignorance on the subject, or on the far left trying to undermine his efforts to inform the public.
DAVID FRUM.... LOL.... a CONSERVATIVE... ROFL......
