Ok, so I have this niece who I love but, would love to strangle right now. We've been doing the usual back and forth about WI. I posted about what pigs these people were and she posted back that she went to a tea party, there were guns, racist signs, they left the place a mess. I don't know if she really was there or not. I've never heard that any tea party has left a place a big mess. I asked her for proof, that was just a bit ago, so no response yet. I know that there are nuts and mean evil people on both sides. What I see is a disproportionate number of those people on the left. You have an occasional one on the right but, it's the norm on the left.
She'll have to get mugged by the government before she catches on.
If she catches on.
I’ve got a niece who got to interview Ann Coulter for her college newspaper and found her “full of hate” and haughty! I shudder to think who she voted for in the last elections. I don’t ask. Sigh.
They don't like it when you ask them to back up their tales or define their terms. That just shows that you "don't get it".

Sounds like she is hearing and seeing only what she wants to hear and see. By asking her for proof you might get her to see the truth if you push her and show counter proof.

Doesn’t matter if she is your niece. Any and all leftists are worthless animals. Do not show her any love or mercy.
We are all going through the same thing-—She’s going to learn—either the hard way or the easy way but eventually she will come around. Probably when what’s left is a smoking hole in the ground! (too late for all of us!).
She listens to emotional appeals and can’t distinguish fact from emotion. That’s her problem.

Pretty sad to do that over politics, but some people feel this crap gives them justification.
You’re wasting your time.
You just have to avoid political discussion with her. Nothing you might aver can be proved. Thus, there can be no resolution of any given piece of contention. So just say no.

LOL...I don’t want to kill her. But, ya know, if I could just give her a good slap once in awhile I think I’d feel a lot better.
I’m thinking the same thing. I never thought she’d stoop that low but, I think she did this time. I don’t believe for one minute she went to a tea party. She has never mentioned it before and I assure you, she would have.
