Well I, for one, am going to wait for 'scientific consensus' (...by someone WAY more trustworthy than Algore, of course) before I start gnawing on any plutonium. LOL

Two dogs were walking down the street. The one dog says to the other, "Wait here a minute, I'll be right back." He walks across the street and sniffs this fire hydrant for about a minute, then walks back across the street.

The other dog says, "What was that about?"

The dog first dog says, "I was just checking my messages."

Gold-Medal Effort
March 28, 2011

At the 2009 Kansas high school state track championship, an unusual thing happened. The team that won the girls 3,200-meter relay was disqualified. But what happened next was even more unusual. The team that was awarded the state championship by default turned right around and gave their medals to the team that had been disqualified.

The first school, St. Mary’s Colgan, lost first place because judges ruled that a runner had stepped out of her lane as she handed off the baton. That meant the second team, Maranatha Academy, moved up to first. After receiving their medals, the girls from Maranatha saw the downtrodden looks on the faces of the St. Mary’s girls, so they gave them their individual medals.

Why did they do this? As Maranatha’s coach Bernie Zarda put it: “Our theme for the year was to run not for our glory, but for God’s glory.” As a result of the girls’ action, their story was told throughout Kansas, and God’s name was lifted up.

When we set aside our own interests and accomplishments to recognize that it’s better to care for the interests of others (Phil. 2:4), we see God’s name glorified. Acting with grace and kindness toward others is one of the best ways to point people to God.

Love is not blind but looks
Abroad through others’ eyes,
And asks not, “Must I give?”
But, “May I sacrifice?” —Ziegler

When we love God, we will serve people.

Read: Philippians 2:4-11

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. —Philippians 2:4

I’m an old Assembly of God, and married a Methodist. World of difference in the 2 churches. Dean is uncomfortable with the freer flowing AG services.

Some people like regimented services. I for one don’t. It does not allow the Holy Spirit in to do his work.

Our old church closed as there were only an handful of OLD geezers who could not keep or afford a church built for 400.
This new church is no better, dry and boring about 65, mixed races.

They mention the Holy Spirit, but they do NOTING to invite him in. And he does NOT come in where he is NOT invited. I’d scare them out of their draws if I began to speak in tongues. But it takes the music to set the stage for me to do so.

You can FEEL if the HS is there in a church, don’t ask me how I know, but I do know.

They chase off the young adults because the services are dry as dust.

Yes the people are good people and do many good works, but many might be feeling the same thing we are, but are to scared to speak up and rock the boat.

Our preacher asked us what we would like to see change, and you know me...I said more lively music...well I haven’t seen any yet. How can you drag I’ll Fly Away into a monotone songs. As for changing preachers it’s easier, than changing all the people sleeping through a boring sermon. He’s a kind man, just BORING as a speaker.

We had the preacher in training this Sunday, and a world of difference in the 2. I’ll take Robert any day of the week over the official preacher.

The Unclouded Day (as it should be sung)

You are quite a gal, Gail. They need to put you in charge...LOL! While I was listening to your music, I listened to others while there. Brenda Lee with Martina McBride sang that same song plus others songs.

I have a lot to do today so I will get busy. I can tell how great you are feeling and thats terrific! You’re strong and brave!

We’ve had a spell of cold lately. I left here yesterday with a little jacket and had to run by here again and put on my winter coat. Its always that way in Tennessee. We’ve had some days in the 70’s but they were short lived. It won’t be long now until its warm or hot all the time.

I don’t even complain much when I think of the people in Japan. Such humble people who’ve endured so much at the same time.
