Joyful shouts filtered into our house from outside and I wanted to know what was so wonderful out there. I peeked through the curtains and watched two young boys splashing in a thick stream of water that gushed from a fire hydrant.
The overflow reminded me of how God pours out blessings on His children, and how important it is to recognize that the Lord . . . daily loads us with benefits (Ps. 68:19).
Although I know He has furnished countless good things for me, when the car blows a gasket, when the flu infects my family, and when relationships threaten to unravel, dissatisfaction threatens my view of Gods blessingsthey seem more like infrequent drips from a faucet rather than a flood of water from a hydrant!
Maybe thats why in Psalm 103 David reminds us to forget not all His benefits (v.2). And then, to help us, he lists a torrent of blessings for believers. He reminds us that God forgives all our iniquities, heals all our diseases, redeems our lives from destruction, crowns us with lovingkindness, and satisfies our mouths with good things (vv.3-5).
Today, lets take time to acknowledge Gods abundance instead of overlooking the overflow of His blessings.
How are you this morning, FishHawk?
I’ve been trying to watch the news for updates. Have they evacuated Eureka and Crescent City?
Have you heard from Tubebender? Have you heard from your sister?
Of course it quickly went from the basics of schools, employment, to integrating neighborhoods in housing, etc.
It progressed to SOCIAL JUSTICE NOW! Which is a misnomer,. Freedom in America is about being free to be a hobo or to be doing a good job of whatever work one is choosing to do and build it forward, to be moving up the corporate ladders, or increasing the size and scope of smaller businesses or being the best at what one does. Builder, plumber, teacher, electrician, mechanic, clothes designer or homemaker. Etc. Each person has opportunity to maximize their potential. Nothing is free, except ... air, sunshine, and the freedom of choice. People of integrity create good lives for their selves.
Socialism's STRONG MOVE, AND THE DIRECTION OF THE SOCIETY FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS HAS CERTAINLY MOVED INTO A COMMUNIST, SOCIALIST, STYLE OF GOVERNMENT AND THUS THE CHANGES IN MEDICAL ISSUES, INSURANCES, morals, religion, retirement plans, ETC. IT IS COMPLICATED, YET, IT IS VITAL TO STOP THIS OR AMERICA AS WE KNOW IT IS LOST! Sorry for the caps. Forgive the tirade. You did nothing to provoke this response. Guess my frustration with our nation today is needing an outlet. God bless this wonderful day, in Jesus name.
Thanks, Tubebender. Praying for all in harm’s way. It is probably too early to hear from FishHawk.
I will keep checking the traffic camera. Thanks for the link.
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED. |
Mark 9:23-24 (New King James Version) "23 Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help my unbelief! ____________________________________________________________ Like this father, I also cry out help thou my unbelief!
Great photo. Beauty is all around us for those with eyes to see.
Thank thee LORD, for the beautiful moving picture thou gives us in life. Always showing, everywhere.
Thou art Almighty ! Praise the LORD!
Water from a fire hydrant can be a joy for children, and it must be respected, it can cause slipping and falling and be the cause of pain and suffering.
We so desire a deluge of blessings that we often forget to thank God for the simple, easy, everyday, things that we take for granted. A glass of cool water when thirsty. A warm shower, a warm bed, a roof over our heads. Air conditioning,!!! Running water in the house. We are spoiled, and see the things we do not yet have, more than the things we do have.
Thank God for His goodness.

Binding Mandatory Arbitration (BMA) clause.
Why Should You sign a contract that contains a Binding Mandatory Arbitration (BMA) clause.
If you do you Give Away Your Constitutional Rights?
You are stripped of your rights every time you sign any type of contract that contains a Binding Mandatory Arbitration (BMA) clause.
And you have already signed many contracts containing BMA clauses. Each time you signed, you gave away your constitutional right to use the American court system to solve a disagreement, no matter how important the disagreement.
What is BMA (Binding Mandatory Arbitration)?
When a corporation includes a BMA requirement in its contracts, it means your dispute must be decided by a private legal system. Because BMA clauses are “binding,” you must abide by the decision and have no right to appeal.
This private, for-profit system is a lawless system. The judges, called arbitrators, do not have to follow the law or even justify their decisions.
takes away your right to appeal a bad decision
normally costs much more than using the courts
prevents you from being part of most class action lawsuits
favors business rather than you
Without knowing it, you may have already signed dozens of these clauses. Theyre everywhere: health insurance contracts, telephone contracts, car contracts, rental clauses, babysitting clauses, credit cards, bank loans, nursing homes, summer camps, house repairsyou name it.
Virtually every major consumer group in America opposes Binding Mandatory Arbitration. See the groups and read many of their position papers.
What you can do. Take back your rights!
Do not sign a contract that contains a Binding Mandatory Arbitration
A little girl was observed by her pastor standing outside the pre-school Sunday School classroom between Sunday School and worship, waiting for her parents to come and pick her up for “big church.” The pastor noticed that she clutched a big storybook under her arms with the obvious title, “Jonah and the Whale.”
Feeling a little pernicious, he knelt down beside the little girl and began a conversation. “What’s that you have in your hand?”, he asked.
“This is my storybook about Jonah and the Whale,” she answered.
“Tell me something, little girl,” he continued, “do you believe that story about Jonah and that whale to be the truth?”
The little girl implored, “Why of course I believe this story to be the truth!”
He inquired further, “You really believe that a man can be swallowed up by a big whale, stay inside him all that time, and come out of there still alive and OK? You really believe all that can be true?”
She declared, “Absolutely, this story is in the Bible and we studied about it in Sunday School today!”
Then the pastor asked, “Well, little girl, can you prove to me that this story is the truth?”
She thought for a moment and then said, “Well, when I get to Heaven, I’ll ask Jonah.”
The pastor then asked, “Well, what if Jonah’s not in Heaven?”
She then put her hands on her little hips and sternly declared, “Then YOU can ask him!”
Happy Friday, Teenie.
That little patriot is a sweetie. Thank you.
