I was thinking of Alar yesterday.

They drug Billy Crystal up there. It’s too late to save this Oscars. Ann Hathaway stands with her arms down and hands clasped like she’s going to sing songs from the Renaissance. She looks ridiculous not knowing what to do w/her arms. She should know cuz she’s an actress.
We saw inception. Good movie.... but really strange.
Billy Crystal is funnier and more entertaining in 10 seconds than the entire rest of the show.
Did Obama show up in person or was it just a video taped message. Either way, it was an appropriate part of a really, really awful academy award show.
I wonder what the ratings will be. they should rate how many people were still tuned in after an hour, cuz I’m guessing not many.

I wasn’t especially political at the time, frankly I was just coming off of my liberal period of life. I remember thinking...what the hell makes an actress an expert on apples of all things?

I missed the show between 9-10pm ET, so I don't know what happened during that hour.
I admit I'm rooting for "The King's Speech" this year (the only movie my husband and I saw this year), but I watch mostly to see/hear what these lib idiots in Hollyweird have to say, (ie if there's any politics interjected into their speeches), and to see what the women are wearing. They're all just useful idiots to me... I despise about 98% of these people in Hollywood: actors, producers, directors, crew, most of 'em.
Ah... Bob Hope. Now there's a REAL star and a decent man that America could actually be proud of.
I saw The Social Network, Toy Story 3, Inception and ... one other I can’t remember.
I cannot share your enthusiasm for Toy Story 3. The original was funny, sweet and upbeat. I thought this one dragged and was a downer.
We walked out of Inception, so that tells yu something.
The Social Network was excellent and the acting was outstanding, but it made me sick, literally. I had to stop watching the DVD and pick it up later.
Eggs-actly, imagine what the show woulda been like if he had hosted and had input to the writing ...

I despise about 98% of these Hollywood cretins... but I admit I watch this stupid Oscar show once a year. Thank God we can spend the evening with good FRiends here at FR! :-)
