From the proposed law:
'Prenatal murder' means the intentional removal of a fetus from a woman with an intention other than to produce a live birth or to remove a dead fetus; provided, however, that if a physician makes a medically justified effort to save the lives of both the mother and the fetus and the fetus does not survive, such action shall not be prenatal murder. Such term does not include a naturally occurring expulsion of a fetus known medically as a 'spontaneous abortion' and popularly as a 'miscarriage' so long as there is no human involvement whatsoever in the causation of such event. (c) The act of prenatal murder is contrary to the health and well-being of the citizens of this state and to the state itself and is illegal in this state in all instances. (d) Any person committing prenatal murder in this state shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction, shall be punished as provided in subsection (d) of Code Section 16-5-1.
But they are not citizens.
That was my point. Treated like every other citizen is a faulty formulation because they are NOT citizens.
Treated with human dignity as a person would have gone without remark or criticism from me.
You're splitting hairs.
It seems to come in waves.
It does seem endless.
No.
Then you recognize that the baby is human from the moment of conception and that taking that life is murder. Right?
For the same reason that losing a tooth is not treated as theft.
You absolute moron.
IBTZ.
Yes, absolutely.
Do you recognize that the unborn are not citizens, and cannot be U.S. citizens according to the Constitution and the rules of naturalization that Congress has, via the Constitution, enacted?
That is hardly “splitting hairs”.
When one builds an argument upon a faulty premise they build castles in the sand. Useless and often worse than useless, a waste of effort.
WTH is that supposed to mean?
Thank you!
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Viking Kitty/ZOT ping list!. . . don't be shy.
You are going for the big ZOT here dill weed.
I think this was a leftwing ploy. I’ve seen this same type of article mentioned on other sites and there’s always a liberal in posting “republican scandal” or saying “if you voted for the GOP, you should be ashamed.”
You may well be right.
I am so sorry for your loss. Your child will be waiting for you in heaven and loves you. God Bless.
No, they're not. The Constitution, which is the Supreme Law of the Land, forbids the killing of any innocent person, and requires that the equal protection of the laws be applied to every person.
And, under our Constitution courts don't make laws. The representatives of the people do that. And those laws, to be legitimate, must comport with the imperative requirement that the unalienable rights of the people are protected. After all, the founders considered it to be self-evident that this is why government even exists.
if you’d ever actually had a miscarriage in the first trimester then you would know that it isn’t a baby so much as a period. This is where I am not 100% pro life and i never will be. The first trimester is for the woman, IMO and after that its for the child.
Thank you. I was in my 5th month of pregnancy. The nurse told me that she couldn’t really tell what sex the baby was, but thought it was a little boy. My grandmother saw a vision of my baby before she died, and said it was a little girl. So, I’ve named the baby Aaron it it’s a boy, and Erin if it’s a girl. (Don’t know if that’ll be okay.) I also have a boy who was full term and born with a birth defect which later caused him to have to have surgery; he died in the recovery room at 6 wks. of age. We have another son who’s 45 yrs. old now and lives on Long Island. After the death of the last baby, I just didn’t have the strength or stamina to try any more due to many circumstances. Anyway, I have three children. Possibly two boys and a girl, or possibly three boys. - Husband and I’ve been married 46 yrs.; through thick and thin, and back thick again.
