Global Economy on the Edge of Chaos
The Market Oracle ^ | 20 February, 2011 | David Knox Barker

Posted on 02/20/2011 1:01:26 PM PST by Errant

A violent feedback loop in the complex system of human action is unfolding globally. However, the impending global debt collapse has the potential to produce a modern day Jubilee. There is evidence that the violent global convulsion of human action we are in the midst of will accelerate into 2012, and central planning and human design will meet their just demise.

Beyond the unfolding global crisis, a new golden age of spontaneous order and global prosperity will dawn. A global human action driven free market revolution has begun. It is sweeping the world, and appears to have now arrived in the United States. The central planners are doomed. The edge of chaos will give birth to The Great Republic.

I'll have whatever he's having.

“a new golden age of spontaneous order and global prosperity will dawn. A global human action driven free market revolution has begun.”

lol - That’s the way they write. I’ll bet if we check out the source it’s from the money-changers. They like words like oracle, global, new, dawn, revolution, human aka serfs, and prosperity for them. I’m surprised they said “free market” and not “open” market.

Something good may in the end may come of it, but it like saying after the plane clash we realize that the runway was thousand feet to short so we built a brand new longer runway.

I hope he's right as well but I'm afraid things will be much worse than he believes they will be and I think it'll take longer for things to get better.

He seems to be a fan of Hayek so he can't be all bad. ;)

Heh! yeah, that must be some really good stuff.

Beyond the unfolding global crisis, a new golden age of spontaneous order and global prosperity will dawn.

Well, my considered opinion is that we we are witnessing the breakdown of the 'Great Power,' post 1700 model of international relations and a restoration of early 17th century chaos: piracy, religious wars, internal revolution and civil strife, multiple and continuing wars between small, middle and (via proxy) the larger powers.

I don’t think I’ll see any “improvement” in my life time (I’m pushing 50), but maybe hitting bottom and then leveling off.

Oh, it's begun alright, it's not a "global human action driven free market revolution". It's a global human serfdom revolution with the high rollers centered in Dubai...and everyone else working for them. The novel 1984 wasn't supposed to be a blueprint, it was a warning.....

Faith in the future based on ‘Hegelian’ economic laws between the destruction that chaos brings and the new world order that will come out of it? Where does his faith in the future really come from?

Please check out some interesting millenarian articles on www.rmarkmusser.com. Millenarianism is where secularists adopt a hope filled view of the future derived from the Bible, but doctor it up with secular language to make it look ‘scientific’ for modern consumption. However, much of this this modern hypnosis is rooted in Hegel’s evolutionary philosophy of history - which even predated Darwin. That is not to say that something good cannot come out of the increasing international chaos burgeoning across the board, but few people today are looking toward the grace of God for their help. Evolutionary thinking without divine providence provides little hope, only increasing mutation and chaos.

Nah. Just the Thirty Years War, piracy, the emergence of large, armed, non-state actors (think the English and Dutch East India Companies, as well as al-Qaeda, etc.).

Good opportunities, though, if you're a Pizarro, Cortes or von Wallenstein.

Okay, I’m going to have to read that again, very slowly. But the author certainly brings a fascinating and, I think, insightful perspective.

Thanks for the link. I certainly believe the larger picture was ignored but perhaps the targeted audience required it.

While Mr. Barker may have a point, he writes like a teenager after his first dose of Ayn Rand.

:)

I think soon we're going to see a new epoch in the history of mankind and perhaps even a little of God's mystery revealed.
