Texans are nice people (I moved to Dallas from Orange County CA 2 years ago) but they can be apprehensive about anything new. So when Carl's came to town, some weren't real thrilled. Well, it appears that Carl's may be ok here in the Lone Star state. Hard to beat that "char-broiled" taste which even the "Big Daddy" of em all (In N Out Burger)doesn't have. Still.....In n Out is number 1.....Carl's Jr. close 2nd. Oh yeah.....seems most Texans prefer Mustard on their burgers. Not me...mustard on my dog....ok. Mayo or special sauce on my burger.

Light on the mayo is actually pretty good on a burger. Mickey D’s secret sauce is the best!

We used to have one in Austin, but it was closed in the late 80’s. I’ve been hoping they might return someday.

Carl's is almost as bad as Booger King, regarding serving food that's hot enough. I'll stick with our local In-N-Out. Made to order, right off the flattop.

In-N-Out is California only, isn’t it?
About California’s only saving grace.

There's a new one in Cedar Park. Ate there once, and will never go back.
Why go anywhere else but Whataburger?

Texans are 'inauthentic'? Did some Texan beat you up and steal your girlfriend years ago?
Heard a lot of insults aimed at Texans, but that's a new one.

Whataburger is pretty much my favorite, but Carl’s Jr. had a “western burger” (iirc) that was pretty good back when I used to eat there. Thanks for the info. about the Cedar Pk. location...I might give them a try.

Do you live in Cedar Park? I live in Lago Vista and pass through CP to and from work.

Austin as well. Love the whataburger. Yum!

It's in that cluster of stores at the 183A Toll road and 1431. There's a Chik-Fil-A and an AT&T store nearby.
There's usually tons of people there.
