Just heard on radio. Have been stuck in this mess for over 3 hours now. Family at home reported 7" snow in 3 hours.

I guess you have never lived in a city when it really snows hard. They have this thing called "grid-lock" when nobody goes anywhere regardless of what they are driving. I just got off the phone with my friend who lives on the VA side of the river. He's stuck in Tyson's Corner, and yes he does have a 4WD. The cars that are in his way don't.

I’ve driven on ice and snow layered Colorado roads since I was 12. Folks here actually shovel snow into the beds of their pickups to increase their weight for better traction.

Can you imagine trying to drive through a snow storm in an electric vehicle? I remember the Veterans Day snowstorm of ‘87, where I spent 9 hours on the Beltway trying to get across one bridge and then the other.
