I'm tired of hearing some people, even from FR say that we need to "rise above the fray"!

I'm sick and tire some on our side buying into the myth that if we just "rise above the fray" from attacks that are scurrilous and baseless that we will somehow win the arguments against us! That's pure bull!

We are playing right into the hands of the MSM and liberals when we act civil and honorable "according to their rules of acting civil and honorable" which is to shut up and sit down about conservatism and not fight back. The only kind of people that the left and MSM consider honorable are people like Bob Dole and John McCain both of whom lost by not fighting.

Speaking of McCain, notice how 'civil' he was in 2008 "[Senator Obama] is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared about as President of the United States,". There's a difference between rhetoric and record, but you can still be respectful," McCain said to one questioner. "I will point out his record and I will do it with respect."

Did Obama act respectful and civil? Linking President Bush and Senator John McCain as partners in “the failed policies” of the past seven years and criticizing them for “hypocrisy, fear peddling, fear mongering.”? "They're going to try to make you afraid of me. They're going to say you know what, "He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. Did I mention he's black?"

The MSM called McCain's rallies vitriolic and tinged with racism and hateful but said that Obama has run a clean, non-slanderous campaign and deserves respect. He is the one that wishes to address the issues and look how wonderful Obama is, he will help heal the nation.!!!

What happened in 2008 is almost happening in 2011 with the attacks on Sarah over the Tucson attacks; Barack Obama stood back for days and let his supporters in the media and left rip Palin apart, only then to proclaim that we don't really know what happened in Tuscon and let the media narrative was how wonderful Obama is!

But this time Sarah fought back after a few days and only had a few choice towards the media, and the left and media STILL ATTACKED HER OVER IT'!

If all the others here or pundits like Dick Morris or even FOX NEWS are gonna sit around and watch this happen and say "don't do nothing" or be tepid in a response at best then they need a brain analysis. If Conservatives cannot defend themselves over these baseless, libelous charges then they got no business running. period!

Bet you can't back that up with examples.

Oh, I surely can. Look for posts between yukon and those with whom he spars.

It’s like saying we can overcome AIDS by ignoring it.

Leftists are more deadly than all the diseases, wars, and natural disasters in all of human history combined.

We need to annihilate them all or there is no chance for continued survival.

I just went back and reread the comment. Where on earth do you see "crude and abusive language" in his post?

Now go read all of my posts again. I did not accuse him of any such thing.

George Washington was a good man but he left a lot to be desired as a President. He relied far too much on Alexander Hamilton who believed that only rich intellectuals should be involved in Govt.

Many forget that the HLSA before the shooter was even booked claimed that some “right-Wing” website was responsible for the shootings. That claim stood for at least 3 days. As the information that became known indicated the site had NOTHING to do with the beliefs of the shooter.

When the Government makes an assertion on absolutely NO evidence. And then QUIETLY, removes the assertion. What would you call that. CLEARLY A PROPAGANDA TACTIC TO GET THE RADICAL LEFTIES ALL WORKED UP. Hence the msm felt embolden to blame anyone and everyone the RABID Lefties find objectionable. (Palin, Rush,Beck etc etc)

To allow the type of accusations to go unchallenged is suicide. They MUST be refuted. To long have Conservs,Repubs, and even some Tea Party members sat back while being called vicious names. The Tea Party has fought back successfully. And due to Palin, Beck,Rush leading the charge, the Rabid Lefts campaign was shown for what it is and stopped. (for now)

Turning the other cheek, only gets a kick in the groin.

Again, please show where CCG used “crude and abusive” language.

You have beared false witness against thy neighbor and need to apologize and ask forgivness.

Until then you will be disregarded.

But self-governance needs to start with knocking people off of welfare and/or disability, if they’ve gotten better since being awarded disability.

If you’re under 45 and have been on disability (especially a non-physical disability such as bi-polar) for more than 7 years, you should be forced to have a face-to-face review done and your benefits potentially cut in half or cut totally.

I have talked to countless people who are under 45 and have been on disability for 7 years or more who now claim, due to modern medications, they would be able to work, but that it’s just easier to sit back and collect a check each month.

Also, how many times have we seen specials on 20/20 or Dateline where somebody is collecting disability and hopping in and out of sports cars, when they’re supposed to be crippled?

Entitlements are killing us but nobody in Washington has the balls to say it.

We are in a seemingly impossible situation since anything we say, civil or otherwise, is twisted and lied about by the media. However, we do have the truth with Fox News on our side, mostly. I read once that a very small percentage of Americans actually read anything about politics - they vote based on soundbites and their own pocket, or their own single issue (sexual persuasion, abortion, war).

Since the conservative voices are constantly being attacked and lied about, they have to play the game and find key words, issues, and people who can appeal to the 80% who are too dumb or lazy to even listen to the news.

The economy is issue number one. That is all that most people can related to. Sometimes I think we could attract more voters if we advertised like a beer commercial.

That’s not really going to make any difference. We can’t appeal to them or change them. Leftists are not human, they are worthless pieces of filth who need to be made physically nonexistent asap.

Truth, compassion, courage, integrity, and even love have absolutely no effect on those who love cruelty, self, destruction, and envy above all else.

Jesus didn't use ANY of the phrases that are in common use today.

No. He used others. And they WERE insults. Grievous ones. Delivered to those in authority.

He also overturned the money lenders tables and drove them from the Temple.

No “crude and abusive language” is in that post. You need to apologize to that poster.

George Washington was a good man...

He could certainly conduct politicl discourse and even warfare without abusive language. So could all of the Founders. The point I am trying to make is that what passes for political discussions these days seems to involve a lot of personnal attacks and abusive language. This doesn't help with finding a solution of any kind.

Each of us needs to be careful to deliver our arguments in the most effictive way possible. This includes remaining civil and free of abuse.

If you are the "Christian" you claim to be, you will apologize to CCG for such a false accusation.

I did no such thing.

All of this is what I am talking about. We seem so rerady and willing to make an argument out of anything. The willingness to take offense is foremost in our conversations.

Let’s see if he actually does. He now claims he did not do such a thing. The good thing about FR is that you CAN’T amend what you have posted.

‘You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.’

Which is exactly what that poster did.

I agree, we should fight back, as persistently as we can, and we should let our anger show. The left is terrified of Palin, they should also be terrified of what we can do. I am not talking about violence, I am talking about verbal confrontation every single day.

So you were intentionally rude and lied about another poster simply to prove the point that others are rude? What hypocrisy.

You are right. Loughner was a truther but not much news about it even from conservatives who seem more interested in attacking Birthers who are at the most harmless. The left always gets a pass and that needs to change. They say crap that is baseless and untrue to create false impressions in the public at large. Its a form of attempted mind control and the only way to counter it is to make sure the truth is presented just as strongly as their lies. It also means using ridicule to deflate them and their often idiotic ideas. Those who think you can split the difference and offer credence to lies are nuts. Silence is what the left needs to make sure they dominate and define the political landscape. Ask George Bush what ignoring his critics and playing nice got him? Ask Sarah Palin? If we play nice one day we’ll wake up and find all we love about America gone and will have no idea what happened.
