George Washington was a good man but he left a lot to be desired as a President. He relied far too much on Alexander Hamilton who believed that only rich intellectuals should be involved in Govt.

George Washington was a good man...

He could certainly conduct politicl discourse and even warfare without abusive language. So could all of the Founders. The point I am trying to make is that what passes for political discussions these days seems to involve a lot of personnal attacks and abusive language. This doesn't help with finding a solution of any kind.

Each of us needs to be careful to deliver our arguments in the most effictive way possible. This includes remaining civil and free of abuse.
