Durbin, Dupnik and many others deliberately are placing Sarah Palin and her family in danger. These are very evil people exploiting the murders of innocents for political gain. They are scum.

Of course she deserves protection, no one is threatening these scumball liberals. Only conservatives have been targeted.

Nah, he told Barbara Walters that he doesn’t even think about Sarah Palin.

Can Obama even do that if he wanted to? Secret Service, the Marshals etc, IIRC, have their own fields. I sure hope that Alaska State Police or local ones are parked by Palin’s house though.

Not sure if that’d fly. Although Sarah is in the public eye she’s no longer an elected official. It’d be like offering SS protection to Rush Limbaugh. I don’t think even US Marshall’s can provide protection since they go after federal lawbreakers. So I’m thinking she’d have to hire a private protection service.

Since she is not officially running for anything yet, why would she be offered secret service protection?

I missed the weather forecast today.

Is there an unseasonable cold front going through Hell this week?

Of course you are kidding, right? Why would he protect what will probably be the main reason he is thrown out of the White House in 2012?

There’s a FB page “Kill Sarah Palin”. I hit “Abuse” on it after another Freeper pointed it out. Do you think they’ll remove it? I don’t.

I don’t think the President can or should be able to just “decide” that someone needs SS protection.

The only Secret Service agents he’d offer to the Palins would be “made.” One of the Palins could end up missing or dead. I wouldn’t trust anything coming from 0bama.

The mission of the United States Secret Service is to safeguard the nation's financial infrastructure and payment systems to preserve the integrity of the economy, and to protect national leaders, visiting heads of state and government, designated sites and National Special Security Events.

Sarah is a Private citizen. She is on her own - or we have a case where the President can 'gift' Secret Service to whomever he wishes.

Just imagine, celebrities can get a huge "Status Symbol" of taxpayer financed Secret Service instead of hiring their own securitity guards. No room for corruption there, huh?

No. Like a typical White person, she has to sit in the back of the bus now.

The liberal gasbags like Clyburn pontificating about how it is “society’s” responsibility to stop such acts

Should be asked what “they” are doing or intend to do - or what “society” can do - about guys like this “Jason Brown”

Or where is “Hawk” these days and who he was working for when he video-stalked Palin last summer (note his creepy voice....eeeww)

It isn’t up to Obama to offer such protection. Who gets Secret Service protection and when is a matter of law, not presidential directive. Palin and her family are private citizens and she is not a presidential nominee.

Todd, Dad and friends are it for now - as far as we know. How about an all volunteer ex-military FReeper Palin Posse to surround the Palins 24/7? Take volunteers, check their clearances, interview them, etc.

Glenn Beck read part of an e-mail from Sarah Palin today on his radio show. He also gave her the name of the security agency that he uses and urged her to get protection for her family. The comments below the video are quite sensible, especially one from “John”.

If anything, Sarah should request Secret Service Protection and likely requires a SS Detail equivalent to that which is provided to the president.
