Lysie is fine; she is just on a trip down to Florida. She was havening computer problems and asked if I would ping the list and provide breakfast today. But, as you can see, she did start today’s thread.
Happy New Year to you, dear one. The Ronald Reagan float was wonderful. The slogan was something like, “Freedom is Everyone’s Choice”. I’ll hunt up the actual slogan and post it.

FREEDOM CHANGED THE WORLD! Appropo, I thought.
FWIW, our quarterly freepathon has started. I am proud to say that I donated earlier this week. Just to kick-start things.

Did you tell her to look in your potted plant section? Very probably y’all are selling it there so she could have had fresh!
I’m sorry you were yelled at. That is never nice especially when you couldn’t smack her back.
When are y’all going to have your next blizzard? It will be rough then, too.

I’ve been watching the Rose Bowl and thinking of absent friends who are greatly missed.

Hi Jemian, Dog...
Sorry about the angry customer today, Jim....not a great way to start the year off...
I've been watching some taped shows as my DVR is getting full, and I've discovered some good programs on the Military Channel which I want to tape!
Thanks, Bit and MKH.
Anyway....good night.

Any of you folks who were Wagon Train fans back in the day.
Seems the ENCWS Channel has been showing a Wagon Train Marathon all day.
It's from early in the series with Major Adams (Ward Bond)

I watched the Wagon Train Marathon all afternoon, until time to go to Mass. It isn’t as good a series as Big Valley, but good, none the less.

Re: Sick of me yet.
Zero seems like the type if you ask him what time it is he tells you how the watch is made.

Or maybe, when you ask Nobama what time it is:
1. He tells you what time it should be, according to his own sense of 'social justice';
2. He tells you that what time it is hasn't mattered since his predecessor screwed up timekeeping for generations to come;
3. He tells you that time keeping is really the job of the government, and so he is instructing his Time Czar to make illegal the private ownership of watches and to take over the timekeeping industry through regulations issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology;
4. And that the price of timekeeping will 'initially necessarily skyrocket', but will eventually come down to below-market prices once 'alternative time keeping technologies' hit the market.
5. But that 'if you like the watch you have now, you can keep it' -- just like he said about your health insurance, your GM bonds and your guns...
(The sad thing is that instead of satire, the above could become all too true with this crowd...;-))

Good morning.....
Well there was also a Twilight Zone marathon on SyFy....what memories that brought back....old familiar faces....remember Barry Nelson from To Tell the Truth? He was in one...also Cliff Robertson, and so many others whose names we barely knew. Also Bernard Herrmann was credited for composing the music to one of the episodes.

HA! Yes, that about covers it...scarily so....
6. Also: Some of us have too much time & others less, so evaluations by the Time Czar are underway to remedy this inequity. The IRS will be mandated to judge our compliance with "Time Reporting"

And, to forsee the reaction to Nobama's telling you what time it is:
1. John Boehner gives a tearful recounting of how he worked his way through college selling watches before 'putting his name forward for office', and this is all 'chicken something-or-other';
2. Paul Ryan says we can't afford Nobama's plan for the timekeeping industry takeover -- but he has a Timekeeping Roadmap that gets us to solvency by 2020;
3. Krauthammer declares Nobama a political genius yet again for using timekeeping as a wedge issue;
4. Eric Cantor says he can't find a justification for it in the Constitution;
5. Bawney Fwank says it falls under the Commerce Clause, because 'if you go from Massachussetts to New hamshire, you still have to know what time it is";
6. And Justice Sotomayor writes in the majority opinion in Timex v. United States that 'Federal control of timekeeping has been the foundation of the penumbra eminating from Wise Latinas throughout history'
Hehehehe....
