The Value of Time
Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400.
It carries over no balance from day to day.
Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.
What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course!
Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME.
Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.
Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose.
It carries over no balance.
It allows no overdraft.
Each day it opens a new account for you.
Each night it burns the remains of the day.
If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.
There is no going back. There is no drawing against the “tomorrow”.
You must live in the present on today's deposits.
Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!
The clock is running. Make the most of today.

Thank you for this wake up call, yorkie. Makes you think, doesn’t it? Each day is so valuable to each of us.

Corn beef on the way, and the Cinnamon rolls are fresh from the oven!
I lived for a couple of weeks in 1968, just to the left of the walkway in the first door you see on the left. Great fun and often remembered with a smile.

Muleshoe is a place I have not been too or through. The name is a stand out though and easy to remember.
Big Spring area is about 40 miles away. They have many cranes wintering there yearly. There is a big Rodeo named the Sand Hill Crane Rodeo in Odessa yearly.

Your menu looks sooo good today I've just been pondering as to what I'm in the mood for.
As corned beef hash was a weekly meal in my growing up, I think I'll have a bit of childhood! Haven't made it in so many years! Eggs, over medium just so the yolk runs down into the hash (wow..I can almost taste it!) Hold the milk and coffee...substitute with hot chocolate if possible. If not, a glass of ice water will suffice!
Thank you JOHNN, wonderful way to start the day!
I have to grocery shop today....think I'll add corned beef to that list!

“Deuteronomy 11:18-21 (New Living Translation)
18 So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders.
19 Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
20 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,
21 so that as long as the sky remains above the earth, you and your children may flourish in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors.”

“The best way to set a good example for our children is to live out our faith in front of them. While theyre lookingtheyre learning about what matters most.
Take stock of yourself and consider your child
Your time and your thoughts are his due;
How would you reply to the Lord should He ask,
What kind of parent are you? Anon.
Children may not inherit their parents talent,
but they will absorb their values.”

They want take me as a donor.
Age
You must be between the ages of 18 and 60 to join the Be The Match Registry. Age guidelines are not meant to discriminate. They are meant to protect the safety of the donor and provide the best possible outcome for the patient. The lower age limit is based on the legal age of consent. A guardian or parent is not able to sign a release or give consent because unrelated bone marrow donation is a voluntary procedure.

The Sentinel
A lonely sentinel stood watch beside the welcoming abode,
For almost every hour since the last time that it snowed.
Hes been here in the darkness, and withstood the glaring sun,
It takes more than some cold to keep his work from getting done.
Hell be here for as long as Winter makes a threat,
His confidence is total, hes not been defeated yet.
With cool aplomb he smiles but hes forgotten just one thing,
Hell lose this pose and doff his clothes, and run away in Spring.

GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.
