I thought they started issuing stamps without denominations on them about 5 years ago.

In other words, stamps are now a hedge against inflation and will retain their value no matter what happens to the economy. They are as good as gold.

I wonder how long it will be before we see the headline: “Post Office will no longer honor Forever stamps”.

Who puts stamps on letters to send messages? Other than a few Christmas cards, most of what I get through the Postal Service is metered mail. Personal messages come by e-mail.

Somehow I think that Post Office and First Class do not go together.

Thank you for that, finally. I have plenty of stamps in the draw that just saw "First Class" on them and I haven't a clue what denomination they are or how much more postage I need. Annoying.
On the other hand, I can't wait to buy oodles and oodles of "Ronald Reagan Forever" stamps to send to all my liberal friends.

Post office marks new first-class stamps 'forever' They will come to regret this, if the day comes when that stamp is worth more than a $20 bill.
