Just wondering if anyone else out there is spending the evening alone. Not necessarily a bad thing. I'm sipping a cappuccino and taking in "A Christmas Story" in the old man cave. I'll be with family tomorrow, but as of tonight, it's my faithful Boxer and me. And Ralphie.
Spent the afternoon with friends, went to 9:00 pm mass, then home. Alone today, too. But I have plans to put my feet up, pour a toddy, and watch all my newly-acquired animated movies, like Toy Story 3 and Despicable Me.
Our cats are too busy to listen to any explanations.
Merry Christmas to you and all the fuzzy faced ones.
"Based on a fantasy novel by Terry Pratchett, The Hogfather is an extraordinary satire-adventure set in the mythical realm of Discworld..."
You should have been at Walter Reed with us. Santa even made it.

Merry Christmas to you and all here on FR!
That was the most annoying thing I’ve ever seen on cheezeburger.
Why’d he have to smack Malcolm with a snowball? At least he throws enough like a toddling girl that I know Mal didn’t get hurt.
I was there in spirit while staying warm at home.
I wish that were true, Sal. "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, I'm told, and told again.
Clichés, received wisdom, bromides. And I've seen, time and time again,in myself, in others, the fragility of human hearts, only realizing when the disaster hit me, how weak I am in the end, and not growing any stronger.
It sounds just weird enough for me....:)
Merry Christmas to you Vendome!
Merry Christmas Allegra! :)
Merry Christmas TOL! *holiday hugs*
I think it’s a biblical reference.
For me, “success” means only one thing; getting up one time more than I’ve been knocked down.
So far, so good but I admit, “down” keeps getting lower and it sure takes a lot longer to get up than it used to.
A friend of mine always says “Whatever doesn’t kill you just hurts like a b*tch” and “Life is a smorgasbord of grotesque choices”.
He’s a wise old man.
Love your tag line...check YouTube for “I Am The Spider” by Alice Cooper. Closing line is “You trap. You kill. You eat. That’s what a good spider does.”
Really good song that sorta ties in with what we’re discussing....:)
I used to have a blue jay lunch buddy when I lived in California. I'd take lunch out by my bike in the parking lot and share whatever I was having with him.
LOL! Looks like Lee Marvin in ‘Hell in the Pacific’ after he’d been playing cat and mouse with the Japanese soldier for a few weeks.
Where did you get that picture of Miss Hissy Slashy?
Ceiling Cat sees all.
Actually it wasn’t bad out. My problem was that I was starting a cold.
See you after the New Year.

You forgot the straw dummmy !.....;o)
