I have not posted a vanity for awhile now and I post this in good faith. I was thinking earlier about what the politcal lands would look like with Sarah Palin not in the next Presidential race.
I don't think it would be good.
I think she has a duty to run unless family reasons dictate otherwise. I hope and pray that she is not buying the media narritive that she is unelectable. I know she is a very smart person. But I hope she has more confidence than to give any thought to the idea that she might not be able to win. Any candidate might not be able to win. But you don't know until you try.
Other than family and personal reason. What are political reasons she shouldn't run in your opinion ?
I think the reason she should is short and simple. This country needs her and we are running out of time.
If she doesn,t run. I don't think I could stomach politics and I doubt I ever vote again. At one time I dreamed of serving in congress as a kid. But if we are a country where the media can destroy my politcal career and hurt my family. Why in the hell would I do it.
I am saying that Sarah Palin represents all of us underdogs and regular people. It would be demoralizing to the tea party and conservatives if 1. she doesnt run.. or 2. she lets the media define her image.
the stakes are too high for politics as usual.. I honestly feel like these are life or death moments for our country.
Compare her education level to past Presidents like Lyndon Johnson and Harry Truman.
shes in good shape.
Palin/West in 2012.
What’s her degree in?
How long did it take her to get it?
Look...I don’t dislike the women...I think that she’s been so beat up that the beating on her has hurt the liberals...
...but I don’t see her as my president.
You win a CAR! The key is under your seat! (Good luck paying the taxes!)
You’ve just convinced me you really are smart!
No, my point is liberals think they are the smartest people in the room as do the Republican elites. Look at what this Ivy League imbeciles have done to our country. I’ll take Sarah Palin for president, thank you very much. She has smarts those frickin’ bozos could only hope to acquire. We don’t have time for them to catch up.
LOL. Thanks.
Communications I believe. She worked as a journalist and as a broadcaster.
I wonder if you know what you talking about
It's not guacamole that comes out of the rodeo stock. I took the Jeopardy test in about 83. They sure grade them fast. I haven't heard from them since. I would like to see 1/2 Governor Palin take that test. One question from each category IIRC.
I am a smart, not dumb like everyone says, I'm smart.
Oh my God, how uninformed you are.
Do you think repeating bullcrap enough will somehow make it so ? You won Jeopardy ? Big whoop. I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
I think they’re scared of a woman President.
IMO, no, at least none that are being talked about for president. However, if you ever want to find smart conservatives, go to a red state.
Conventional wisdom in the media and west/east coast citizens is that Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, etc are all smart. Smart is a foreign to those folks.
God knows what is going on.
I don't think Gov. Palin would be a good president. The more I see of her, the less impressed I am with her. When McCain chose Palin for his veep, I liked what I saw. It's gone down hill from there. My better half was a much more enthusiastic Palin supporter than I, right up until we watched her reality show. After two episodes, all the enthusiasm was gone.
For me, the turning point was the interview (with Greta Van Sustren?) where Gov. Palin explained her answers to the perky Katie Couric. I had a huge problem with the way she discussed it. I have no doubt Couric was antagonistic. Palin's inability to handle the Couric situation, coupled with the way she addressed it later raises A Big Red Flag. It reminds me far too much of Pres. Obama's interview with Bill O'Reilly where Obama couldn't bring himself to admit that the surge had worked in Iraq.
I am saying that Sarah Palin represents all of us underdogs and regular people
Please do not be so bold as to tell me who represents me. Barack Obama has not stolen this right from me (yet), and I have not granted anyone license to exercise it for me.
Lastly, I understand that you're still relatively young, but statements like, "If she doesn,t run. I don't think I could stomach politics and I doubt I ever vote again" show your immaturity. Hopefully, you have a long, long life ahead of you with many opportunities to exercise your right to vote. Basing your outlook on the future on the decisions of one woman is not healthy. I'm glad you've found someone you support so strongly, but don't turn her into some sort of messiah; that's the same mistake many supporters of Barack Obama made.
Can you elaborate?
You didn’t really answer.
You took the test?
So...if it was in ‘83...WHERE did you take the test?
I’ve been in Europe and living in Europe doesn’t make you smart only GODLESS. Sarah never said she is R R. So you people stop comparing her to RR. She is special as every creature created by him even those that don’t believe on HIM. We all have a purpose in life. Only God knows who HE will put in office next time. He put Obama in office to keep HIS children on their kneeds.
Thank you all for your comments making this an amusing and enjoyable thread, and worthwhile. Time to get to work, now.
JEOPARDY!
This list has grown and grown over the years (as our candidates got worse and worse).
And now they must be "smart" enough to win at Jeopardy?
Good grief.
