What if Sarah doesn't run ? And why wouldnt she ?

Posted on 12/17/2010 9:36:35 PM PST by se_ohio_young_conservative

I have not posted a vanity for awhile now and I post this in good faith. I was thinking earlier about what the politcal lands would look like with Sarah Palin not in the next Presidential race.

I don't think it would be good.

I think she has a duty to run unless family reasons dictate otherwise. I hope and pray that she is not buying the media narritive that she is unelectable. I know she is a very smart person. But I hope she has more confidence than to give any thought to the idea that she might not be able to win. Any candidate might not be able to win. But you don't know until you try.

Other than family and personal reason. What are political reasons she shouldn't run in your opinion ?

I think the reason she should is short and simple. This country needs her and we are running out of time.

If she doesn,t run. I don't think I could stomach politics and I doubt I ever vote again. At one time I dreamed of serving in congress as a kid. But if we are a country where the media can destroy my politcal career and hurt my family. Why in the hell would I do it.

I am saying that Sarah Palin represents all of us underdogs and regular people. It would be demoralizing to the tea party and conservatives if 1. she doesnt run.. or 2. she lets the media define her image.

the stakes are too high for politics as usual.. I honestly feel like these are life or death moments for our country.

And in your opinion.

How does she do all 3 ? I think she is doing much better than she was a year ago. She is more active and involved in the political debate and she doesnt come across as someone who is stupid or ignorant.

What’s bullshit???

I won twice on Jeopardy in 2003.

Reagan is my hero because my father worked for him. I lived in Europe during the end of the Cold War.

Dee Jepsen is a good friend.

No...I’m no one special...but neither is Palin.

She’s no Reagan.

She may not be able to. Quayle couldn’t.

She of course is not the first nor will she be the last conservative to be called an idiot. Reagan and George W. Bush were called idiots but had well known positions on specific issues they were able to talk about to any audience anywhere. They both also served two successful terms as governor of very large states.

Quitting halfway through her last job are political cement boots, period. To ignore that is idolatry worship with rose-colored glasses.

Ms. Palin can do the most damage to the opposition in the capacity in what she’s already been doing. And she is having fun, good for her.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have say, a SOS that isn’t so damned ugly?

But Obama can run for President for 3 years what he is getting a pay check for serving in the United States Senate ?

he should have quit.

I don’t think it is dishonorable to stop ripping off the people you are supposed to represent ?

She is a fighter and should run to correct the perception that she is dumb which she clearly is not. I’m sure she is relishing that challenge. As a bonus, she also gets to score an historic victory for her gender.

Those who think she can’t pull this off (winning the presidency) are in for a shock. To the doubters: your ultimate nightmare will begin to unfold sometime in 2011.

I have to be honest...I stopped watching after I was on the show.

I don’t know why. I’ve watched again and I get mad because I’m answering the questions and I think I peaked too early.

But it had to happen when it did. You have to be chosen. Then you go take a test and if you pass the test (which is really hard)...then they interview you and out of our group of 60...9 passed the test...

...then they interview you and take a polaroid....

Then they called and asked me to be on the show...you don’t say no.

But now...if I catch the show...I’m answering all the questions and it annoys me because...

I can never go on the show again and I think I peaked too early.

She doesn’t come across to us as stupid or ignorant. But we pay attention. I’m talking about independents and Reagan Democrats who don’t follow her every move but get most of the impressions of her from MSM outlets.

These are the voters who gave the GOP the huge win in 2010 and will be the key to ridding ourselves of the Messiah.

But at the moment they are not going to vote for Sara Palin.

As for the other two issues. Needs to just admit that leaving the office was a mistake. The other she needs to challenge left wing ideology head on if she can and get off facebook and TLC with that crazy Gosslen woman.

Thats right. She needs to run if for no other reason.. run to make sure the people in this country know the media is wrong about her.

Don’t you think debates, going on the Sunday shows and things like that will be a major step in the right direction ?

I won on Jeopardy.

I know how to make the good cookies. I don’t need one of yours...unless it’s a really exciting cookie.

..but seriously don’t give me one of those ideas for one of those cherry/coconut cookies that are inevitably really dry.

“She doesnt have to be a Reagan.”

No kidding. She’s nowhere close. She comes across as airheaded sometimes.

Don’t get me wrong, she has her role....but her role AIN’T president.

Sure, if she will do it. By the debates it will be too late.

[ What are political reasons she shouldn't run in your opinion ? ]

1) Functional family health..
2) Marriage complications..
3) She doesn't need the grief..

Note: She can still provide much political impact on the country.. Maybe more.. The primary's are more important than the elections.. The TpCaucus can vet the candidates federal, state and local.. to ferret out all or most of the RINOs.. And Raise money for qualified but unconnected candidates..

Heck yes. I think that she will campaign in very unique ways in terms of taking on the media and correcting the record. I don’t know exactly how because I’m not a political strategist but I’ll bet the Palin campaign is going to think way outside the box as it were.
