There are NO pics of the stinker. But I found some on google. I run into these guys every now and then here in E TX. Didn’t realize they were so threatening! They aren’t tiny, they are a decent sized bug.

We have them here in PA. Killed our cucumbers, zucchini, and other squashes.

We need to bring back DDT.

I detest these bugs. I have killed so many, I’ve lost count. I’m still killing them even though it’s been freezing outside for weeks. I’m waiting for somebody to come out with something to kill them.

They are a plague here in the Pittsburgh area. From what research I’ve done, the first time they were seen was on a crate from Red China to Allentown, PA in 1996. They spread from there. I saw my first stinkbug right after Hurricane Ike came through in 2008

We have swarms of them in VA and WV.
They’re evil; they destroy crops and infest houses, and they’re resistant to a lot of common garden pesticides.

Most pieces of firewoood have 20-100 bugs. I smack them off and bring the wood inside and it smells like stinkbug. It stinks outside too even after the rain. The bathroom vent is completely clogged with the damn things, I’m not sure how I’m going to get them out of there.

These have been a problem for some time. So what has brought the but to the forefront if the pest news? We had issues with them in our little garden this year as well.

Maybe it’s just the artiste in me, but the detail in that tiny little thing absolutely fascinates me. It looks very art moderne with an Asian flair. Wouldn’t want to smell it, however.

Thanx for the ping...
I think those bugs are what got my spinach and turnip greens, last year - over the course of one weekend, while I was out of town...
I had some luck with malathion - saved a lot of the turnips - but was too late with it to save the spinach....
(The Havelinas - local wild pigs - got in and finished the rest later in the season... Not a good year...)

My boss at work likes to catch them and feed them to his pet ducks. The ducks love to eat them.

Many of them are currently serving in Congress, and others were involved in drafting S-510.
