Not only is the Food Safety Modernization Act in the Omnibus Bill (pg. 1685), it also authorizes MILLIONS in spending on sustainable agriculture and sustainable development.

Of the amounts made available under this heading, 9 $150,000,000 shall be made available for a Sustainable Communities Initiative to improve regional planning ef forts that integrate housing and transportation decisions, and increase the capacity to improve land use and zoning: Provided, That grants under such Initiative may only be made to metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), rural planning organizations, States or other units of general local government, Indian tribes, and housing-, economic development- or transportation-related nonprofit organizations:
Provided further, That $100,000,000 shall be for Regional Integrated Planning Grants to support the linking of transportation and land use planning:
Provided further, That not less than $25,000,000 of the funding made available for Regional Integrated Planning Grants shall be awarded to metropolitan areas of less than 500,000:
Provided further, That $40,000,000 shall be for Community Challenge Planning Grants to foster reform and reduce barriers to achieve affordable, economically vital, and sustainable communities
