With Castle's Dream Act vote, Christine O'Donnell was totally vindicated.

Posted on 12/09/2010 6:18:31 AM PST by Sybeck1

Christine O'Donnell is a hero to all for taking out Mike Castle. His "Dream Act" vote cemented that. His yes vote in the house would have been at much more strength, as he could have easily voted for cloture, giving the horrendous act of amnesty bipartition cover. Primaries for RINOs is the only way to save our republic, and my this Castle vote be the first topic Hannity of the other talking heads bring up to Tokyo Rove.

I remember reading somewhere that the Republicans maxed-out the contributions to her campaign, so I'm not sure there was a legal way to give her more funds.

(I might be incorrect, I can't look it up right now).

>> O’Donnell had no business being in that race <<

Hey, let's go easy on COD. I see a lot to admire. Moreover, your word "business" is key to my thinking here:

Christine's a very sharp businesswoman. Some businesswomen make and market widgets, some make and market political campaigns. COD is the latter variety, with a lot of good old-fashioned entrepreneurial acumen. She walks away from her 2010 campaign with $900K in her PAC, a book contract, and the promise of untold riches from TV appearances and speaking fees.

All in all, it's quite an impressive accomplishment!

And the fact that thousands of conservatives were duped into giving oodles of money to her campaign is neither your problem nor mine. It looks merely to confiirm the old adage that a sucker is born every now and then, if not every minute.

Christine O’Donnell was a kooky wannabe pundit who happened to catch a surprise wave of completely understandable anti-RINO sentiment that became apparent after the legit contenders had bailed thing it was a lost cause versus Castle. The push back from the establishment was only part of her problem, and even that was greatly exacerbated by her glaring inadequacies as a candidate. Stop throwing your support behind anybody who comes along and put your energy into recruiting strong conservative candidates.

O’Donnell was not a weak candidate

I totally agree. This horse manure about fielding "strong candidates" is nothing more than capitulation to modern, media driven, shallow prognosticating. It's exactly why we have so few elected representatives who understand the founding principles and how the country is supposed to work. The continuing impact of the O'Donnell showing in the recent election. . .is that every RINO out there has been put on notice. We need more candidates like Sharon Angle and Christine O'Donnell. It is the job of all conservatives to persuade the voters. It won't happen as a result of putting up a bunch of slicky, glib empty suits.

Castle wasn’t much of an improvement over Coons (cap and trade and now this nonsense, just for starters) - and his defeat put RINOs like the Maine twins on notice that if they stray too far leftward, they can get primaried. So in the long run, O’Donnell beating Castle is a positive.

While there is no doubt she threatened the good old boy establishment, there is also no doubt she was a very flawed candidate. Lots of lessons there.

Excellent analysis. The Pubbie establishment elected a DemonRAT just to weaken the Tea Party Movement. The RINO-riddled Washington elite needs to be sent back home. They need to be reacquainted with their home states. The sooner the better. We have work to do.

Exactly, now the peasants are storming the once safe House of Lords. Be on notice, or suffer a primary. Some are to thickheaded like Lugar, and man I wish Brown could face an opponent. O'Donnell was a very much needed sacrificial lamb.

And we sure as heck haven’t seen much in the way of GOP Senate defections in the lame duck session. Even the Maine twins are staying on the reservation.

O’donnel was not a weak candidate.

NONE of the conservative nor Republican candidates won in Delaware, California , Nevada.

What's the common denominator? DEMOCRAPHICS. In Delaware African Americans are at least 20%. Plus add illegals. Nevada and California defy logic ? why why? ask yourself why? the answer starts with an I for illegals.

VERY SOON NO CONSERVATIVE WILL EVER BE ELECTED EVER. and it's not because they are flawed. it is because illegals keep coming here. We have to stop illegals and deport them now or the United States and freedom are doomed. Who can deny this?

If Castle had won the election he already would be in the Senate in the lame duck session and be able to vote yes, and thus, make it easier to pass the law through that chamber. His vote in the House is of little consequence.

Yeah, I realize I’m on thin ice . . . in my opinion, it should be possible to maintain that O’Donnell was weak without defending Castle.

Rinos are a liability to the Republican party...COD would have been an asset.

Any effort to divert this thread into another bash the Conservative topic is typical of Rino behavior.

Castle is weak traitorous scum, good ridance to him, and thankyou COD!

I’m starting my day today with a bowl of chili.
You’re not far off. :)

A question:
Do you consider yourself a globalist?

If so, how exactly is that different from RINO?

Thanks.

I am not sure I would say she was weak, but she did have problems. It is hard for any conservative to win in Del. In the respect that a conservative will have a hard time winning in Del, then yes she could be called weak, look they kept sending Biden back so they have seriuous problems.

O’Donnel had may not have been a perfect canadite but she was worlds better than Castle, as deminstataed by his vote. We must rid ourselves of the Rino’s and this is done in the primaries. After the primaries we have to get behind the canidate and if they win hold their feet to the fire.

She lied about her degree, she lied about her house forclosure, she lied about past election accomplishments, yadda yadda.

Then the other day she said bad things come in threes. Pearl harbor, Elizabeth Edwards dying and Obama extending unemployment benifits.

She is DUMB beyond measure.

And I don't support liars.
