With Castle's Dream Act vote, Christine O'Donnell was totally vindicated.

Posted on 12/09/2010 6:18:31 AM PST by Sybeck1

Christine O'Donnell is a hero to all for taking out Mike Castle. His "Dream Act" vote cemented that. His yes vote in the house would have been at much more strength, as he could have easily voted for cloture, giving the horrendous act of amnesty bipartition cover. Primaries for RINOs is the only way to save our republic, and my this Castle vote be the first topic Hannity of the other talking heads bring up to Tokyo Rove.

And now Murkowski has decided to vote with the dems on DADT and let open homosexuals serve in the military.

So much for those who said we should not have gone against those two RINOs.

I’m not following you: if Castle votes yes, or Coons votes yes, it’s a wash . . . and does nothing to demonstrate that O’Donnell was anything but a weak candidate.

Hannity push Rove with hard questions? I can’t see it happening.

I haven’t yet seen a “TV personality” I like.

It gives Dems 6 years of bipartisan cover.

I prefer to keep my enemies in front of me well marked and easy to spot. I hate having to watch my back, waiting for a RINO charge at any moment.

O’Donnell was not a weak candidate - she was a candidate who threatened the good old boy establishment in the GOP and they put a target on her back! How people can be so blind as to not see that is beyond me. If the GOP (and establishment types like Rove) had gotten behind her with the same fervor that they attacked her, she would have had a real chance of beating Coons. But the GOP at first was outright against her, then after the base started putting pressure on them, they came to the game late with half-hearted support. If she was a “weak” candidate, it is because the RINOs in the establishment wanted her to be a weak candidate - and that pisses me off beyond words!

I can see that, but I still think you’re overstating the issue. I don’t think it’s very effective to claim that one squishy Senator makes things “bipartisan.” The only people who like to use that term are in the tank (in this case) for the Dems anyway.

O’Donnell had no business being in that race. The Tea Party in Delaware failed us. The sooner we recognize it, the sooner we can put forth a candidate who stands a chance of winning.

She WAS a weak candidate.

Anybody who outspends their opponent 2:1 and doesn’t get within 10% in the votes is the DEFINITION of a poor candidate.

COD has lost three senate seat elections in five years in DE. The voters have rejected her as not the one they want. I’m not sure who would be satisfactory to them that would be more favorable to the conservative view but it is apparent the COD isn’t the one. She maybe able to help promote someone else and work as a background person but she isn’t the one to head the effort. JMO.

It’s just the way the cookie crumbled. People should face it . . . when a candidate gets crushed that badly, one doesn’t have to look far and wide for the reason(s).

I actually listened to her positions and agreed with her on most. Had I been in Delaware I would have voted for her. The real problem in Delaware is there are too many left-thinking people. The primary voters at least DID pick her over the RINO Castle.

You would rather have a guy with an R next to his name making these votes. If the person elected is going to vote stupidly, let it be another Dem. A single Senator carries significant weight in what bills come to the floor. A liberal R is greatly damaging. A liberal D is just another vote. Look at the damage F’ing McCain did in the first few years of the Bush administration. A single Senator is thorn in the side of the party. Keeping Castle out of the Senate was a major win.

But he wasn’t a WEAK candidate, LIBERAL to the core but not WEAK. Can’t tolerate WEAK, you know.

But hey! If the GOP had doubled down or tripled down and allowed Cash On Delivery (C.O’D) to outspend her opponent 3:1 or even 4:1 (while squirreling away a cool million), maybe THEN she could convince Delaware to vote for her, and maybe narrow the gap to 5% or less before she lost!

This is exactly why these two RINOs were opposed by the tea party and had challengers. Murkowksi and Castle are Democrats in Republican clothing.
