Karen Schourg, a 44-year-old Helena woman, was apprehended by Helena police on Friday after she hit a Budweiser beer truck and a basketball hoop with her car.
Schourg was arrested for her second DUI around noon on Friday.
According to Lt. Steve Hagen, Schourg was driving a 1993 Honda when she struck the beer truck while it was parked at Friendly's convenience store.
The woman then drove off and was reported driving recklessly around children near Smith School, where she almost hit a playground attendant, before striking a basketball hoop.
She was later stopped on Colonial drive near Shodair Hospital.
Scourg was charged with two counts of hit and run, lack of insurance, felony criminal endangerment, driving with an open container, a seat belt violation, and her second offense DUI.
Schourge is scheduled to appear in justice court on Monday.
Laz reportedly amazed.
After hitting a beer truck, she should have been cited for multiple open containers.
How’s that for God trying to get someone’s attention and irony all mixed up in one package ? Man upstairs is quite the comedian/scared straight boot instructor huh ?
I think that’s Darksheare’s date...
Darks,
Please take her home.
Hold muh beer and watch this ping!
Ah Helena. Glad this is irony and no one was hurt. I have lots of family there.
If someone had been injured, I wouldn’t have made light of the situation.
Meanwhile...Revolting Cat has shown an amazing amount of interest in this thread...
;-)
Karen Schourg, the scourge of Helena.
This has country western ballad written all over it.
I guess she was still thirsty.
WEll getting a dui is one thing BUT hitting a Beer truck is unforgiveable.

This story has more irony than you can shake a stick at.
