I was wondering what countries allow gays and lesbians to serve openly in their military and how it was working out. Does anyone here know?
I know Israel does. I don’t know which other countries do.
The Greeks encourge it.
Uranus ?
I believe the UK began to allow it a decade or so ago.
NOT-Barack’s Home Country of Kenya
Many are exquisitely specific. Among these is "...many in their Army will be women, and as women..." In other words, our army will have both women and homosexuals in combat roles. A very good reason not to have gays serving in hotpants, seamed fishnet stockings and spiked heels, if you ask me...

The Dutch Army is said to be full of them.
China doesn’t, and aren’t we always hearing how they will be the country of the 21st century? If we want to compete in the 21st century, shouldn’t we do the same?
THE PINK SWASTIKA
In the 1960s, Nazi homosexuality was so widely acknowledged in America (at least among the social elites) that the portrayal of Nazi thugs as homosexual was a frequent occurrence in Hollywood movies. One of the best examples is in Exodus (United Artists, 1960), the film adaptation of the Leon Uris novel about the creation of the State of Israel after World War II. In the film, actor Sal Mineo, playing a young man attempting to join the Irgun (the Jewish underground movement), fails to convince Irgun leaders that he is a genuine Nazi concentration camp survivor. Finally they are convinced only when he breaks down and confesses that the Nazi guards used me as a woman. To the Irgun, this was definitive proof that he had been a Nazi prisoner.
Allen Ginsberg, the homosexual beat poet was asked by a Justice of the Supreme Court in 1966 (during an obscenity trial related to the book Naked Lunch, by William Borroughs) whether at some time in the future there will be a political party, for instance, made up of homosexuals. Ginsberg replied, saying this has already happened in a sense — or of sex perverts — and we can point to Hitler, Germany under Hitler (The New York Times, August 10, 1997).

Is there a Lake Titicaca Gay Militia?
UK and Israel are two that come to mind. You can be whatever as long as you adhere to their conduct standards. (which prohibit fraternization on duty)

Little more than a decade, actually.
At one point Durruti separates out all the homosexuals and gonorrhea-infected militiawomen from his forces, puts them in boxcars, takes them off on a a railway siding, and mows them down with a machinegun.
Not my recommendation, by the way.
But it does show tht even the Left found that sexual disorder (including both females and homosexuals) is incompatible with combat-readiness.
The Muslim countries don’t have a problem because according to ArmANutJob, the don’t have any gays there. Problem solved.
