It said pencils would be provided for students in class and any students caught with pencils or pens after Nov. 15 would face disciplinary action for having materials 'to build weapons.'
So the school is going to be providing the students weapons in the classroom?

"We've come a long way baby!" I don't think I'm ever going to get used to this "progressive" type society.
The entire world has gone insane. The planet Earth is now a "loony bin".

In other news, any teacher or administrator caught in possession of a working brain will be prosecuted for theft, since it obviously belongs to someone else.

I wonder if the built-in sharpener is still a metal blade? If so, these would surely be banned as well.

Yes I used this weapon to stab a fellow student who would not keep his hands off my desk. This was probably l954, or 55. Wish they would do something about these weapons before someone gets killed.

Idioticy. H’mmm, I wonder if he’ll authorize quill pens? Whoops, nope, I remembered one needs to have a knife to make the point on the end of the quill. And we can’t have knives in school.
What about banning feet and hands? A person can be kicked to death by another person’s feet. Hands can be used to choke a person to death. I guess the superintendent will ban children from bringing their hands and feet to school next.

Not to give anybody ideas, but a pencil or pen can most definitely be a deadly weapon.
Place pencil over the subject’s eye, hit the eraser really hard with the heel of your hand or some heavy object.
It’s what I was going to try if hijacked after 9/11.
Only challenge is that your subject is not likely to hold still while you get set up. :)

They won’t be allowed to bring knives and guns to school, either. Those will also be provided to those who want them.
