Sarah Palin seems to be the favorite of the majority of Free Republic members. I still have not made up my mind about her. But if she is the consevative movement's choice to take on the disaster of Obama who has gone from The Messiah to the Mess then there are things that she will need to overcome to get 50% plus one of the American people's vote in 2012. I've listed the ones I hope her supporters can address here because failure to take these issues on will result in certain defeat.

So then, if she WERE to win the Presidency you would become angry if she were to endorse a RINO & illegal-immigration-monkey like McCain because her free passes were up?
It bothered me that she endorsed McCain in the senatorial. Loyalty does count there, though.I hope it does not extend past one race. Endorsement is not the same as not speaking ill. Her record with the midterms indicates that she will NOT support Republicans just because they are Republicans.
The ultimate contest in 2012 will be between the votes of constitutionalists and the votes of useful idiots.
And of course, the fraudulent votes will oppose the U.S. Constitution and favor Palin’s opponent.
Anyone who can’t see through the nonsense in the question posed in your vanity is probably not going to vote for liberty, which by the way is Palin’s “big issue,” the answer to question #7.
It’s “effing troll”, of course. Let’s be accurate. :/
The vast majority of Palin critics are also opposed to the principles of the U.S. Constitution.
But the utter weakness of their ideology prevents them from speaking it in public. They are cowards.
>Endorsement is not the same as not speaking ill.
Bingo.
>It bothered me that she endorsed McCain in the senatorial. Loyalty does count there, though.I hope it does not extend past one race.
What bothered me was the surprising number of people who made excuses, like ‘loyalty’ as you mentioned, for that endorsement.
Those like you, on the other hand, [Palin supporters who] having the honesty to say “it bothered me” seemed to be the minority [among those who did say anything about the matter].
Just my observation on the entire matter.
>>I dont want to be governed by a kangaroo.

>They are not native to the US, dontcha know.
But he could be unimpeachably Natural born if born in the US of Kangaroos who were here as legal residents [say the zoo] right?
;)
Palin's was ghostwritten by somebody named Lynn Vincent.
Wow.
What a brainless scattering of fart chunks.
It bothered me when she endorsed him, as expressed in my first post after reading of it.
But in thinking it through, I understood that the alternative would have been worse, in terms of both honor and strategy.
If Palin critics are able to understand this, they should admit it. But I’ve seen none of them state they are angry that she endorsed McCain but they can understand how she needed to do it politically and from loyalty.
You think socialism has merit?
Don’t you see that socialist ideas can never stand on their own merit, because socialism has no merit?
I think you're full of crap.
Can I make it any more clear?
The leftists and Obama are destroying our country.
Very soon, they will try to destroy our ability to use the internet.
We need Palin as president. There is nobody else who has shown they have what it takes to fight this kind of tyranny.
I think most palin people here on fr are very politically in tune and look at the guts of every issue, bill, nominee etc that comes before us. However, the majority of independents are not full time politicos like we are. Palin’s messaging seems to many to be 30,000 foot pontification without much meat on the bone. However, I would argue that her messaging is intentionally simplistic. She believes that by ‘12, the elite, smarter than thou image of the Obama regime will be best contrasted by an easy to understand, basic bread and butter conservative fiscal policy. Complication is the friend of the left. When you get down to it, the public is only going to care that you have ideas that make sense and will work, and that you are competent to implement them. Obama ran on, “I know it’s over your head, but trust me, we have it handled.”
It is too easy for us to forget that the woman has run a city, a state, a business, and a governmental commission. By all accounts, she made the hard decisions in a responsible, taxpayer and business friendly manner. When she runs, she is going to have a ton of cash to get that story out there. Additionally, given her experience with cutting budgets and rooting out institutionalized corruption, I fully expect that at the right time, she will bring out some significant, meat in the bone proposals to work on resolving the issues we face as a nation.

The problem is this...Palin does not have the genuine real-world experience to handle the toughest job on the planet. All she has done since walking away from her commitment in Alaska has been talk. Without a job in the arena she is not in a position to do anything but comment, critique and endorse.
IOW...she has no skin in the game and none of her activities since July 2009 have done anything to improve her qualifications.
Sarah Palin took on the good ole boy network in Alaska, and Big Oil. She went up against her own party, because she wanted to do the right thing.
And Palin won. Corruption and cronyism were her targets, and some of them went to prison.
Then Palin became Governor. And she resigned because she knew it was her they wanted, not the office of the Governor itself. In resigning, she drew the fire away from the office and away from the people of Alaska.
In resigning, Palin drew fire to herself, and she fought back against the political psychopaths as a private citizen.
And she won.
If she runs she will create such a violent opposition that it may even end up deterring middle of the road independents. The hardest thing for the libs to do next time will be to generate enthusiasm for Obama as he keeps failing at almost all he does. Right now they are fractured; some over him messing up the necessary functions of protecting the country and watching the budget while others think he hasn't gone to Marxism hard enough or fast enough.
The democrats need something to run AGAINST if they have nothing to run for. Sarah might be that something.
I think she had a all it took to be a great governor and maybe VP, too. But, I am unsettled at envisioning her going head to head with Iran, N.Korea or Venezuela over nukes.
Then too, there is that problem of the opposition she will get from within the republican party that will have to be overcome. The media is doing a good job of spreading rumors about racism [and more] in the Tea Party as they are already working hard to use that as a wedge against any true conservatives that run.
Politics is a bit like court and anything can happen. We all remember how guilty OJ was before the jury came back and we saw where that went. The reason I am concerned about finding a very strong candidate who can reach everyone is because I truly believe that a second term of Obama could spell the end of America as we know it. We are so close to that now - it haunts me every day.

If victory is measured using the dollar then yes, she won.
And, nothing that you wrote shows her qualification to hold the toughest job in the world. And that my friend is the point.
Your words mean nothing if you can’t articulate which presidential duties she couldn’t handle.
(Remember, she can’t be attacked in the White House like she was in Juneau.)
