What bothered me was the surprising number of people who made excuses, like ‘loyalty’ as you mentioned, for that endorsement.
Those like you, on the other hand, [Palin supporters who] having the honesty to say “it bothered me” seemed to be the minority [among those who did say anything about the matter].
Just my observation on the entire matter.
It bothered me when she endorsed him, as expressed in my first post after reading of it.
But in thinking it through, I understood that the alternative would have been worse, in terms of both honor and strategy.
If Palin critics are able to understand this, they should admit it. But I’ve seen none of them state they are angry that she endorsed McCain but they can understand how she needed to do it politically and from loyalty.
I am not specifically a Palin supporter, at least not yet. She is the best we have out there at the moment and the reasons many conservatives don’t like her are unnerving coming from people who claim to be conservatives.
