Check out this crazy owl. It has got to be the friendliest owl I have ever seen. He really does act like a cat the way he enjoys being petted.

Sometimes if you pet a cat wrong it will bite you. Painful but no big deal. If this owl gets pissed you will lose fingers.
Cute owl though!

We used to have a Parrot who loved to have his head and neck scratched. He would bow his head asking for a scratch. Very soft gray downy feathers beneath his green outer feathers.

My dad had a parrot for years. I am really amazed how long they live.

Did you take that with a screen shot of the video?
Pretty good if you did.
To: Tom Hawks
This a was a pleasant surprise.
I thought this was a post from that FReeper that posted You Tube videos he made of turtles, eagles, rabbits, snails and any myriad of creatures reading scriptures from the Bible.
The experience was like a bad acid trip.

Ok, OK, Ok, now you have my attention.
I am one of those hopeless individuals that slows down for train wrecks, and now I too want to see that video.
Then I too can bash it...LOL
To: Tom Hawks
Thanks. Owls are a classy bird, IMO.

That was great; you’d think he/she was a dog getting rubbed behind the ears...it could barely keep its eyes open -looked like it was passing out.

Ours live to be over 50. It was brought to the States in the flight jacket pocket of a pilot flying up from South America and he gave it to my Grandmother. When my GM died my Mother had it until we moved overseas and my sister ended up with him. He was family. And very funny. Could meow like a cat and cluck like a chicken. When the phone would ring he would say “Hello” “Hello” until the phone was answered. My mother would give him a corner off a piece of toast soaked in coffee with a pat of buter for breakfast every morning. When we had fried chicken he would get the scrap drum stick that was eaten and pick it clean of any remaing meat then crack the bone open and eat the marow!

I want one. Are they legal to own in America?
To: Tom Hawks
Yes! They are legal. I understand that some breeds are not though. I suppose you have to find a reputable dealer or breeder though.

I am going to look into getting one. Seriously.

You can own a charming owl movie, the animated fantasy The Owls of Gahoolie, when it comes out on DVD in the beginning of December. I highly recommend it.
