Sometimes if you pet a cat wrong it will bite you. Painful but no big deal. If this owl gets pissed you will lose fingers.
Cute owl though!

We used to have a Parrot who loved to have his head and neck scratched. He would bow his head asking for a scratch. Very soft gray downy feathers beneath his green outer feathers.

This a was a pleasant surprise.
I thought this was a post from that FReeper that posted You Tube videos he made of turtles, eagles, rabbits, snails and any myriad of creatures reading scriptures from the Bible.
The experience was like a bad acid trip.

That was great; you’d think he/she was a dog getting rubbed behind the ears...it could barely keep its eyes open -looked like it was passing out.

That was cute! What surprises me tho is that the person petting the owl was Japanese or hispanic. How the owl understood them is beyond me........

When I was a kid, we had a pet screech owl. He had a club foot and fell out of his nest when he was a fledgling, and we took him in because he couldn’t hang onto a tree branch with his club foot. Our little “Who” was the most delightful companion you could imagine. He loved to be petted, he was smart as a whip, he loved music (he would trill along with me whenever I sang around the house). He lived with us for 17 years, much longer than screech owls live in the wild. Still miss that bird!!
