Free Republic is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-liberty constitutional conservative activist web site. Those who cannot live with that should simply stay away!! (saves wear and tear on my zot button - bitterly clinging redneck, Jim)
Romney is an unrepentant abortionist/statist lying political whore! Just to be absolutely clear, there will never ever be a RINO Romney campaign on FR!! If he somehow becomes the nominee, FR will be running a full-time campaign to DEFEAT him!! If you wish to support him then I suggest you sign off FR and onto Wankers for Mitt!!
Those statments make me worry that FreeRepublic is moving toward a DemocratUnderground kind of stance toward their users. Romney may have done some mistakes like Health Car but I have constantly heard him say that universal helath care was a mistake. If I'm wrong, so what. Lets not kick good Republicans off this site because of their views on abortion and Mitt Romney. Look, if someone says something good about Romney, fine. State your point and try to change that person's views. We are not kicking them off the site! That is DemocratUnderground style dumb. It's what they do.
Wait, let's go over that premise again.....
All con men are tidy dressers.
Mitt is a tidy dresser.
Therefore, Mitt is a con man.
Well, I guess that's alright. At least it's not a tautology, although it could bear repeating.
I don’t see him shilling for anyone in particular. Nor do I see him picking on anyone in particular.
Hey, I stay calm. If he starts shilling for Obama or George Soros thats another thing.
I am not getting involved. He is reasonable. I am sure he will vote for Palin if she is the nominee. He may even vote for her in the primary if she has a great campaign.
Come on, we are almost 2 years out.
You said it wasn't conservatives fault. So I'm asking you whose fault it was?
No conservative outside of FR KNEW about Hunter and basically still don't. Why is that?
That was my question to you -- why is that? If you are just asking me back, does that mean you have no idea, and have no opinion, or just that you don't want to share your opinion?
You seem to have so much time on your hands trashing conservatives and YOUR NEED to keep them focus.
There are times when I actually spend time writing significant arguments here. But for this thread? I'm just answering on commercials -- no time at all, really. I'm even reading other threads while this is going on.
I'm sorry you feel so trashed. I'd still like to know who you blame for Hunter not getting any conservative support, and for your claim that Hunter was unknown outside of FR. I know that unless we do better, it's not going to turn out differently -- and I imagine there are not too many conservatives who share your blindness to that fact.
I’d be pleased if Palin was able to win the nomination. It would indicate that she had overcome her negatives, and had been able to convince a majority of the republican party to support her.
So would I. There is a frenzy going on. Too early for a frenzy.
That will come as they start entering the race.
I think I will take up knitting.
However, just a reminder: the courts have not decided whether webpages are property, but some have determined that website servers constitute the property of the website provider under the doctrine of trespass to chattels. But it gets pretty tricky if the website provider leases multiple systems from multiple ISP's, crossing national borders, etc. Hope they leave it all alone.
Therefore, Mitt is a con man
You make it sound like it’s news to you.
I think that’s one of the reason this site’s owners has stuck to owning his own servers and access points instead of outsourcing to ISPs and server farms.
BTW, I’ve never seen a mod zot someone without reason.
I remember Duncan Hunter as a staunch conservative showing up at some network I shall not name and walked on in order to get some attention. They were shocked!
He would have made a good sound president, but he didn’t have the charisma that others had at the time. He seems a serious man.
Now I have to correct myself, neither did McCain, and he is certainly no conservative.
Mentioning McCains name in a good light here on FR would have gotten a person zotted a few years ago.
Truth is I don’t really think Romney could win either. His negatives are fatal. Romneycare, his flip flop on abortion, and the fact he is a Morman would do him in.
I am not overly friendly to any of the possible candidates. I make sure to point that out.
You're totally obsessed and disturbed. Bless your heart.
I’m very familiar with his posting history and methods and deflection and longwinded comments that mean nothing.
I am staying out of this.
Have a nice evening.
Well if this is true then you also know the Pope has placed Pro-Life on the front line of the Church...they are going to battle those who favor abortion. Romney supports abortion. So why would you oppose the Pope and even give a foothold for discussion of Romney? Those who come here tooting about Romney are not interested in hearing..rather of promoting him...which promotes therefore the murder of babies. If a candidate does not care for the life of a child...why would he care about you?
Daily Devotionals to hucksters like Joel Osteen are nonsense. Maybe I will post one for Rev. Ike or Crefelo Dollar.
I think 2008 pretty much proved that, but a lot of people are still scared to death of him. I just don’t see how, if he couldn’t make it through an unimpressive field in 2008 with all that money and serious name recognition, he’ll do any better in 2012 with a much more excited conservative base and a dozen possible candidates.
On the other hand, he is getting a TON of free publicity from one of the top conservative websites....
Not any more, unless he flopped again. I haven’t seen anybody tooting for Romney for some time, and as it’s prohibited, I don’t expect you’ll see it in the future.
Last year we had a lot of freepers raising money for Scott Brown, who still IS pro-abortion. You could have asked the same question, but those freepers really thought it was a deal they could live with to stop Obamacare. I couldn’t do that, but it’s silly to suggest conservatives COULDN’T do that, since they did so 10 months ago, and none of them were banned either.
BTW, I think that was a one-time thing. Kirk was pro-abortion, and while he wasn’t actively opposed here, I didn’t see a lot of love for the “we need to support him to win Obama’s seat”. Well, there was some of that, but mostly just a “hold your nose and ignore him” around here.
One of the cool things about this past election was how many pro-life candidates we had running, and how many of them won elections.
I think the problem with your reference is that Osteen is only ONE daily devotional, while there are lots of others, and your comment put them all in a bad light. If you had been specific, you would have upset a smaller set of freepers.
