The only question I have regarding the proclamation that the "LA Missile Launch" was actually US Air Flight 808 HNL to PHX is this...
Where were all the other contrails at?
NASA Satellite photos of contrails over SE USA...

FWIW, I’ve seen the sun shine on a jet’s fuselage in a way that makes the plane look as though it’s on fire. But if this thing was from a jet, why the heck did it take so long to confirm it? And why’s the confirmation still being couched in equivocation?
Sunlight reflects from aircraft.
The light from the Sun appears red during this sunset.
Neat the way the color of the “afterburners” matches the color of the clouds.

Many very interesting posts there. I am only part way through them. They seem to have established that there was a NOTAM at that time not just afterwards as others have said.

Those times are UTC so by PST the NOTAM was on from 12:00 PST to 5:00 PST. It ended about the time the video was made.
And yet it doesn't match the contrail right behind it which, as a water vapor trail from a jet, is a less dense version of a cloud.

So, it can’t be the burn of the rocket because it doesn’t match the clouds and the contrail doesn’t match the clouds because some of the clouds are different from the ones that match the ... wut?

This is a US Airway B752 which is what flight 808 is.
It's just amazing how that dark blue underbelly glows like a burning match head by reflecting the light of a setting sun.
A better candidate has been identified UPS902...Hawaii to Ontario
