This is becoming absurd.
I live under a major flight path inbound to detroit. some days I see many contrails, other days I see a couple or even none at all. Most of the time I see several jets but not all are leaving contrails. most likely due to the fact that they’re flying at different altitudes.
Its also important to note that the ammount of sky we can see is enormous. If we see two planes at opposite horizons, they are a long way apart

If it was a jet, then surely some pilot would know he was in the right place at the right time to leave such a contrail.
I want to know what jet was there.
I am not going to be satisfied with “Um, it was a plane, we think.” I want “It was flight 314 out of LAX en route to Tokyo International at 15:30 hours at an altitude of 37000 feet. The pilot was Captain John Smith...”
If they can’t come forward with this amount of minimal information, they are lying.
How many planes do you think there would be out over the ocean, coming in from the direction of Hawaii, at an altitude consistent with overflying the coast?
According to public and private/subscription based tracking software I've looked at there were around 60 jet aircraft airborne, at altitude during a 30 minute window (+/-15 mins) to the reported time of the sighting. Approximately half of those were either inbound or outbound of the US or flying parallel to the coastline north/south.
